**ERIC'S POV**

It's been 2 long hours since my fight with Sophia but I will make everything okay.

After our argument, she told me to stay away for some time and then she stormed out of the apartment. To be honest, I'm worried. When she said to give her some space, I was worried she meant so she could decide whether or not she's going to leave me.

Currently, I'm talking to Lauren about what I should do.

"Wow Eric, I'm surprised you have a girlfriend. Like a real one. An initiate, at that!" Exclaimed Lauren.

I rolled my eyes, "Ya, ya. Just get on with it. What do I do?"

"Well, you need to sweep her off her feet. Just because she says to give her space doesn't mean you shouldn't be doing something yourself. She needs to know you love her," she explained to me. This was kind of making sense.

"Okay. I know I have to sweep her off her feet but I planned on telling her about my promotion to Leader, so how can I play off of that?" I was talking with my hands. That meant serious business.

"What did you have planned?" She asked.

"Before she was angry, I was going to make a steak dinner with champagne and I have flowers but right now, I don't think that'll do," I told her.

She sat there thinking, tapping her foot and humming. Her face contorted, like she was scolding herself about a bad idea, then, she lit up. Her eyes widened and her smile grew. Her eyebrows raised up as she said, "I got it! How about you take her for a romantic dinner out and away from the city!"

"Lauren I have no time for that! Neither does she!" I yelled, ticked off.

She frowned and all the glow she had went away. "Ok. Well then I don't know what to tell you!" She yelled back.

I sighed in frustration and rubbed my hands across my face and through my hair. We sat there in silence before I finally said, "Lauren. I'm new at this whole relationship thing. I have no idea what I'm doing. The things I feel for this girl are so different from anything I've ever felt. She lights up my world just by thinking about her. I love everything about her. Everybody says you'll know when you've met "the one", and I really think she's it. When I see her upset, all I ever want to do is spend the rest of my life giving her the world because that's what she is to me. I just hate that I always screw up. The best part is she has patience, I just don't know how long it will last."

She gives me a sad smile. "Eric. I think I know what you should do."

**************

I'm nervous. I'm not usually like this but I am. I have this big pressure in my chest and I just want to get it out.

I've never really been one to have a good life. It doesn't run in the family. I've never felt the need to change that though, until she came along.

I'm walking in the Pit, my hands shaking, looking for Sophia. Her bright green eyes catch my attention as I scan the crowd. I try and send her a message with just a nod to the door. She looks at the door and back at me. It almost looked like she hesitated before she breathed out heavily, rolled her eyes, and nodded. I mentally cheered, but also let out a big breathe.

From across the room, I made my way out the door, not taking my eyes off of her. When I reach the door, I take a deep breath in, and let it out. When I open the door I see an aggravated Sophia.

"What do you want?" She sounded annoyed.

"Listen to me, please," I begged.

She rolled her eyes, "You have 2 minutes. And just so you know, I still haven't made up my mind about us," she gestured between us, "so if that's what you want. I DON'T KNOW," she exaggerated the last part a lot.
