"Please, sit down," he motions to the couch.
"Thanks," I nod to him.
"You look great," he waves his hand at my body. "I like the new hair," he points his finger at me.
"Thanks, you look great too," I blush.
"So uh, is everything okay?" He sits down on the recliner next to the couch I'm on.
"Um, not really," I let out a nervous laugh. "You see, Four and I are on a "break" right now," I used air quotes on the word break. "And I have no right to come back here and tell you to take me back. I feel really guilty for putting you through some of the shit I gave you."
He shakes his head, "I deserved it."
"No, not all of it. I just hope you can forgive me. Maybe we can start clean, forget all that's happened," I offer.
"Yeah, I'd like that," he nods and smiles.
"I hope you know Four was just a rebound off of you," I search his eyes for any emotion. His jaw is clenched but he doesn't seem too mad. "He never made me feel the way I feel for you."
That seemed to calm his jaw a little bit.
"I knew you didn't love him," he looked down at his lap and shook his head. When he looked back up I gave him a sad smile.
"I'm sorry," I managed to whisper.
"Yeah me too," he replies. He looks like he's choking back a tear or two also.
"I've missed you so much," a tear escapes my eye, "and I need to tell you something."
He moves forward in his seat and leans his elbows against his knees.
"I love you," I breathe out and a smile tugs at his lips. "I always have and I always will. I never wanted to leave you, it's just the more our relationship went on the way it did, the more scared I got. I was scared that we would've ended up hating each other and out of each others lives and that's the last thing I wanted for us," I explain and hold back the tears that threaten to spill.
"Sophia, I could never hate you and I really never meant to hurt you. I'm trying to change for you and I hope you see that," I nod at him.
"I do see it but I was afraid that if I went back to you, you really wouldn't have changed and we'd be right back to the way we were."
"You have to trust me, I promise I will not hurt you again."
I nod, "That's good to know, cause I'm currently not in a relationship and I was hoping you'd like to give it a shot," I let out a slight laugh and wipe the stray tears on the brim of my eyes.
"I'd really like that," he smiles at me.
"This time, let's take it a little slower."
"Sounds good to me," he says.
I keep wiping away the tears that replace the previous ones I wiped away. "God I've cried so much today," I laugh.
He let's out a chuckle, "I hope these are happy tears?"
"Yes of course," I smile at him. "Another thing you should know, um Four and I aren't officially broken up, he told me we should take a few days to reconsider. But when we do get back in touch I'll let him know it's off, okay? So just putting that out there that I'm not totally single yet."
"Okay, but as soon as you're single, you're mine," he smiles.
"I missed you," I admired him and his overprotective self.
