The swordswoman did what she was told as the Bandit King began to climb onto the walls as parts of their skins touched.
His back is rough and quite muscular...
Her skin feels smooth on me...
Mizuho got flustered while holding onto Chobei tightly as he tried to ignore it and grab onto the corpses on the walls. Then, a hand tried gripping onto the convict.
"Join...us..."
The other flowering corpses repeated the same phrase, but Chobei ignored it as he tore through them. He would rip off their limbs as they try to trap him, and pull apart their jaws to stop them from continuously saying the same utterance. Eventually, they reached back on top with Mizuho letting go of his broad shoulders and falling on the floor. Meanwhile, Chobei kept standing, despite his fatigue.
"Thanks... Chobei..." said the exhausted girl.
"I'll kill the bastards, Mizuho..."
Mizuho was shocked. "Chobei! We can't find them in our current state, so we have to flee and recover--"
"I'll kill the bastards..."
"But--"
"I'll kill the bastards..." Chobei glared at her with determination and wrath in his eyes.
Mizuho hesitated, but complied. "Fine... let's just rest."
Chobei was caught offguard. "Huh?! No need for that."
"But it would be beneficial for our health and it could help us prepare a strategy." She scratched the bottom back of her head nervously.
"Strategy? No. I'm fine." Chobei gave a serious look as he looked over what happened during their fight with Ju Fa while putting his fingers under his chin. "Basically, the lower halves of those monsters are their weak points."
His executioner got an epihany as her eyes sparkled from catching onto Chobei's train of thought.
Of course... instead of the obvious parts like the head or heart for the upper half... Ju Fa regenerated using their lower half...
"Although it could be based on which part of the body is bigger, it would be too complicated... since the process ignores which part has the brain or the heart... it leaves the groin area or the navel... as the weak spot."
The Bandit King then walked up to her and gave her a head-pat. "Good girl~ Did I influence you in some way?"
Mizuho blushed from the comforting contact, despite his rough hand. "I guess so..."
"Heh," Chobei chortled, "plus, they were like plants, yeah? Makes sense to hit 'em at the roots, not the stems."
"Got it."
They both smiled at each other until Mizuho's stomach suddenly growled, breaking the atmosphere. "Well, it's time for me to eat the--"
She looked over to her pouch with the rations, only for them to be already crushed into crumbs from the fall into the pit.
"--rations..."
Chobei laughed hysterically as Mizuho's face turned a frown with her stomach growling more. He then ripped off a limb from the wall of the hole and offered it to the ravenette.
"Now, you have no choice but to eat this with me~ At least, it isn't a monster~" The Bandit King smiled gleefully as Mizuho reluctantly started to bite the flesh.
