Before I write down a certain part in the manga (wink, wink), I have to write a somewhat filler chapter in order to mentally prepare myself and my ancestors. To simplify this, it would be Chapter 46 of Jigokuraku but with some minor details changed to fit the story.
Also, suicide warning!

A giant ship had sailed towards Shinsenkyo, a samurai looked upon the additional party in confusion, reminiscing on his conversation with Tokugawa.

"Another landing party... you say?"
"Why, it's been two whole days, and the first group hasn't brought me my elixir of life yet. So naturally, we'll send in more."
"Two whole days...?"
"They will be a force to behold! Five more Yamada Asaemon, including the infamous Shugen, as well as... four of the Iwagakure clan's elites. Fifty shinobi in total, including their rank and file! The Iwagakure chief is generous indeed. Prepare to ship out. With this many capable hands... the vanguard team will welcome this ship as a veritable treasure barge!"

Back to the present, the samurai watched over the shinobi of Iwagakure, questioning the shogun's decisions with suspicions.
That complete and utter fool.... He still doesn't comprehend how inscrutable this all is. Clearly the shinobi leader has some ulterior motive. What use is it, assembling this many grunts for this particular mission?
"Ill at ease, Lord Aoki?" asked Shugen. "If our traveling companions trouble you, know that we are ready to take action."
"But..." Aoki asked with doubt, "could you five really handle this many of them? What's more... three of your party are unranked."
The second-ranked member looked upon the small swordsman and towering blonde with stoic pride. "The young one is Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru. He lacks a rank because he has not yet come of age, but he would be skilled enough to reach first or second rank within our school. Yamada Asaemon Isuzu is in a similar position. Fairer sex or not, few match her talent with a blade. She is employed by the shogunate as a combat instructor. They are implicitly privileged. The decision to include them proves that, unranked or not, they are as skilled as our orthodox initiates. They would not bear the Yamada Asaemon title, otherwise. Sir Jikka is also adequately skilled. With a sword, at least."
"Adequately skilled, that's me~" Jikka replied as if he was drunk.
"What about that young man over there?" Aoki asked, pointing to the teenager with dark-purple hair with a braid on his left side.
"Oh, him. Let Jikka explain him for you since he personally taught him. That bastard isn't one of us at all."
Jikka then sat up and explained. "That boy is Aza Toma... the younger brother of the Bandit King Aza Chobei. A few days later after their hideout in Iyo was found out, one of our unranked members Mizuho had found him and took pity on the boy's situation, so she brought him to us to kept here for her to return with the elixir and his older brother.... Although it took long, we had trained Toma, albeit a little harshly."
