As the ship approached the island, they suddenly stopped midway at sea.
"Oi, Mizuho!" Chobei exclaimed to his executioner, shocking her a bit. "Why did we stop midway?"
"Umm... in order to prevent the losses of the ship's crew, each criminal and Yamada clan member has to go there by raft."
The pair went to their individual raft as Mizuho tried rowing the boat while Chobei sitting down with his hands were bound. He was pretty much bored throughout the trip with nothing to do, but sit down helplessly.
"You know, you could untie my bounds. It'll be easier for us both since I could help you row faster."
"I can't, Aza-san." Mizuho replied as she rowed the raft. "It would be against the rules and besides, you could use this opportunity to kill me and escape."
"Nah, I need both the elixir and you to escape, remember--"
Before the Bandit King could finish his sentence, rubbery limbs started to strangle him. Horubo the Killing Buddhist Prayer started to choke him using his flexible arms as Chobei was helpless to fight.
"Thank you for inspiring me, young man..." said the unfaithful monk, but was interrupted when Chobei ripped off the rope on his wrists and tore Horubo's arms off.
"Aza-san!" yelled out Mizuho as she let go of the oars, unsheathed her sword, and decapitated Horubo.
"Thanks, lady..." spoke Chobei as he pushed monk's corpse fell back onto his original raft. "You know, I could've handled it..."
"I know," she replied, "it's just I wanted to help."
They both smiled at each other as Mizuho looked at the Killing Buddhist Prayer's executioner Jikka, the third-ranked member of the Yamada clan, holding onto Horubo's lifeless body.
"Forgive me for doing your job, Sir Jikka!" she apologized. "I was acting on self-defense on behalf of my convict!!"
Despite this, Jikka instead shook her hand from his own raft. "No worries, cutie... I'm actually pretty happy, I'll repay you two soon! Maybe I'll even make one of your sisters my lucky bride from your yukaku!"
He then tried to row off towards the mainland as Mizuho groaned on top of her boat.
"He better stay away from my sisters..." she mumbled angrily to herself.
"So you were an oiran?" Chobei spoke smugly.
"Eep!" she screamed. "What do you mean by that?!"
"I mean, you're making it obvious with your accessories. Plus, you complaining about Jikka going to your yukaku basically confirms it."
Mizuho blushed from embarrassment.
"Say," asked Chobei, "why would someone pretty as you become a swordswoman? Don't oiran gain higher pays than even samurai?"
"Yes..." Mizuho responded, "but I didn't want to limit the opportunities of all of my younger sisters..."
Chobei then sat beside her on her right, holding an oar to help her while speaking in a somewhat comforting tone. "It's okay, I won't judge. Eldest sibling to eldest sibling."
