Quinn was inside Adrienne's office, having a cup of coffee as they were sitting around the table, revising some paperwork and contracts. She couldn't help but try to get through Adrienne's mind and see what's been bothering her because since she entered the office this morning, Adrienne wasn't her usual optimist self, she was feeling down for some unknown reason.

"Can we take a break?" asked Quinn, placing the papers on the desk and looked at Adrienne who gave her a silent nod but Adrienne didn't stop working, she proceeded which made Quinn sigh internally and reach over for her hand and stopping it.

Adrienne looked up at Quinn quizzically and Quinn gave her a look to stop.

"We need to finish, Quinn." said Adrienne with a tired low tone.

"No, you need to tell me what's going on with you. You're not acting like yourself. Is everything okay?"

"I'm fine. Just stressed about work which we won't finish if we kept talking like we're doing right now."

"Adrienne," she said strictly at her. "What's wrong? Did something happen between you and Sage? Is this about what happened at the party two nights ago?"

Adrienne sighed loudly and leaned her back against the rolling chair and stared up. Quinn waited patiently for Adrienne to open up to her after she saw her reopen her eyes then fall on her hazel ones.

"I messed up." said Adrienne softly. "I thought it was the right time but I ruined it, everything. I embarrassed her when we were going good but then I stopped." She rubbed her forehead. "Why can't I just let her have me? Why can't I just have a fresh start without any troubles? Why do I keep doing this? I like Sage, I like talking with her, seeing her, spending time with her, cuddling with her but when we get intimate, I always halt my movements and stop. It's like the end of the road or the end of the cliff."

"Have you talked to her?"

"No, I avoided her since that night."

Quinn shook her head. "Adrienne, I think you should talk to her about it or things will get worse between you two, and you'll lose this relationship. It's okay if you're not ready to take this to the next level with her, you've been through a lot and it's hard to..." Quinn stopped and tried to find the right words to put in. "It's hard, I know that. But if you feel like Sage is the right girl... after Amber, then you better talk it with her and not dodge her."

The day Jiff interrupted their moment she felt ready to get intimate with Sage, but after what happened two nights ago, Adrienne felt like she took advantage of her girlfriend and led her on to something she was not ready for yet. Two nights ago, when Adrienne stopped Sage from getting intimate with her, she wanted to say something. She wanted to express how hard it is for her to reveal herself. But nothing came out of her lips. Her mind stopped functioning the way it should.

Quinn stood up from her chair, adjusting her clothes then moved around the desk till she faced Adrienne. "We can finish this some other time. The meeting is next week anyway so." She grabbed Adrienne's car keys and tossed them over to her which she caught them swiftly. "You go over to her house and have a discussion with her because I bet she's feeling bitter after that rejection."

"Sage, table one has got customers." said Gina and Sage gave her a nod as she went over to the table mentioned.

Ever since the night Adrienne deserted her, Sage never opened her mouth about anything to anyone including her friends who got worried about her. She assured them that it was nothing and they didn't want to force her into anything, so they zipped their lips. Her mind wandered at the thought of what would happen if they got intimate, what her feelings would be, what kind of feelings her heart would grasp when Adrienne marks her as her own, how her body would react to Adrienne's every touch, every kiss on every inch of her body.
