Fingers drumming on the table, smile decorating the face, eyes gleaming over as the ears listened to the music and the orbs watched the performance on stage. Three nights later, Adrienne visited Sage again at the club, but without giving her heads up. She was sitting at one of the tables at the far corner away from the near eyes as she kept observing Sage's dancing skills. She was not happy about it, but deep down, she wanted to come over and take a glimpse at Sage.
Her eyes raked over the club, watching every movement, scanning every interaction between the employees and their customers.
"Another drink, darling?" A sweet yet raspy seductive voice interrupted her watchful eyes.
Adrienne flashed a grateful smile and handed her glass to the half-naked waitress to fill in her glass.
"Any special orders?"
With a chuckle, Adrienne shook her head dismissively and thanked the waitress for the 'offer' before turning her gaze back on Stage, and then she heard the applause echoing across the club as the dancers took a bow and flashed their smiles to the audience. As the women stepped down the stage, Adrienne couldn't help but smile at Sage's sight. She knew Sage can't spot her in the darkness but for some reason, Adrienne felt the urge to go and speak to her again, to find comfort in the her.
Placing the glass down, she was about to get up, but then her eyes spotted a familiar face among the crowd ahead. A frown appeared on her face as she leaned forward on the table, trying to get a closer look as much as she could without getting detected. She saw Thompson buttoning his jacket as he stood up and extended his hand to shake it with Lina's.
"Thompson." She mumbled to herself, keeping her gaze on them.

"Order number 12 is ready!" A chef pressed his hand on the bell on the counter as it rang, grabbing Sage's attention.
She walked over to the counter and grabbed the tray carefully before she started heading to the customer's table. Gina followed her to serve another table that was nearby.
"So... she did visit the club?"
"Once, yes." She smiled at the customers as she served them breakfast.
"And she didn't call?"
"Nope." She sighed and headed back to the counter, followed by Gina again. "It... felt nice to see her though." She gave Gina a weak smile and mere shrug, placing the tray down and leaned her elbow on the counter.
Gina smiled back at her and reached over to rub her arm. "Aw, it's okay. Maybe this was a good sign though. That she came over to see you."
Sage puckered her lips when she remembered something, then she stared at her friend with wide eyes. "Wait... she did say she wanted to talk things over dinner."
Gina got excited and slapped her hand over the counter. "That's great! Hold up," She held up her hand and Sage chuckled at her behavior. "let's not get excited over it." She inhaled deeply and Gina fished out the phone from her pocket and handed it over to Sage. "Call her and ask her about that dinner."
Sage stared down at the phone hesitantly then looked up at Gina. "Should I?"
She shrugged at her. "Nothing to lose. Besides, she's the one who wanted that dinner, right?"
Sage nodded and closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and Gina started rubbing her shoulders. "Okay, let's do it."

"Did you find anything?" The thud of the documents was soft as it slammed on the table.
"Nope. Nothing so far." said Jimmy.
