Gently, a hand skimmed over the sheets as the delicate layer of thin lips got pressed down on the soft round flesh. A lazy smile crept up her lips as she fluttered her eyes open. She felt the gentle palm stroke over her shoulder, raising goosebumps all over her skin as the same familiar warm thin lips caressed the side of her fragile neck.
Glancing over her shoulder, Sage met Adrienne's eyes and flashed her a warm smile which she returned. As she leaned in, Sage turned around in her arms and came face to face with Adrienne, locking their lips slowly. She placed her palm against her cheek as she deepened the kiss, savoring those lips that she longed for.
Adrienne broke the kiss mildly and leaned her forehead against Sage's as she breathed softly and tucked a strand behind her ear.
"I have to go, Sage."
Sage sighed deeply as she nodded and stroked her cheek gently. "I know."
Adrienne placed a kiss on her forehead and met her eyes again. "I'll see you soon. I promise. Sooner than you think." She gave her an encouraging smile and pecked her forehead again which made Sage break a smile.
Sage cupped her face and pressed her lips against Adrienne's as she prolonged the kiss this time before they pulled away. Adrienne turned around and gathered her clothes from the floor as she started wearing them. Sitting up straight on the bed, Sage's eyes wandered over Adrienne's back as she got fully dressed.
"I'll call you, alright?" She walked over to the side of her bed and sat down with a smile over her face. "You just... think about what I said in the meantime."
Sage nodded at her as Adrienne leaned in and held her chin to give her a peck on the lips before she left the room and leaving Sage with her own thoughts.

Parking the car in the garage, Adrienne turned off the engine and stared at her phone contemplating whether to call Sage or not. Her hand reached the phone as her eyes stared down at the closed screen, fingers drumming lightly on the surface.
With a sigh, she opened her car door and stepped out of it, shoving the phone in her pocket as she headed towards the door and went inside.
A head turned towards the main door as Adrienne opened it. Adrienne gave Janet a smile as she stood up to greet her.
"Evening, Mrs. Janet. Sorry for keeping you up till this hour."
Janet, the babysitter, waved it away and chuckled. "Oh, it's nothing. The little one had a trouble though in her sleep. She was waiting for your arrival. Now she's tucked in her bed."
Chuckling softly, Adrienne looked around before looking back at Janet. "Do you need a ride home?" She checked the time on her watch.
"Don't worry, my son is on his way." She patted her arm gently. "Now I must go." They smiled at each other before Adrienne walked Janet to the main door and bid her goodnight.
She took off her jacket on her way inside to Freya's bedroom to check up on her. Slowly, she pushed the door open and entered the dim lighted bedroom, and smiled when she saw her daughter snoring lightly and already in her deep sleep.
Freya tossed in the bed a little, and gently, Adrienne sat on the bed. She ran her hand over her golden locks and smiled as she leaned down, pressed a light kiss on her temple.
"I'll bring Sage back to you. Soon. Everything will be back to normal."
