On hearing her sister's plead, Adrienne got dressed quickly with panic displayed all over her face. Hanna's quivery voice on the phone got Adrienne beyond worried, and Sage helped the troubled woman by calming her down. Now, Adrienne was driving in the middle of the night accompanied by her lover who was rubbing her palm against her knee to tame her down because Adrienne's muscles were tensed to the max.
"She didn't tell you anything?" asked Sage softly, turning to the busy driving woman.
She shook her head slowly, eyes staring at the dark road ahead of her intently. Adrienne glanced quickly at her phone and handed it to Sage looking back and forth between the phone and the road.
"Give her a call," Adrienne took a deep breath, holding the steering wheel with both hands. "We're almost there."
At once, Sage pressed dial on the phone and put it on speaker. Two rings later, Hanna picked up her phone.
"... Aid?"
"Where are you? We're almost there."
"Restroom."
"We're coming over." said Sage and Adrienne gave her a firm nod while parking her car.
Sage and Adrienne stepped out of the car and rushed inside the nightclub, scanning the busy place for the restroom. People were filling the dance floor, holding their drinks in their hands while grinding up against each other and dancing, loud music pounding in their heads. Sage grabbed Adrienne's elbow pointing at the restroom at the end of the crowded path. They held hands and maneuvered their way, avoiding the hyped up crowd and reached their destination.
"Hanna!" Adrienne called out for her sister. One of the stalls got opened and a trembling Hanna barely got out. Adrienne walked up to her and engulfed her in her arms, and Hanna sniffled in her chest.
"I didn't know he would do this to me, Aid." She mumbled and pulled back.
"Do what?" Adrienne frowned, looking at her sister.
"He drugged me... almost... I sipped the drink, then started feeling a bit hazy... he was saying something, but I couldn't figure it out until I realized that he was getting handsy with me."
Sage swallowed the lump in her throat and fought back her tears. She knew this feeling. It became her loyal companion for years. To be vulnerable and people take advantage of her innocence.
She surfed back from her reverie when Adrienne pulled back from Hanna, furious.
"I hid in here and locked myself in the stall and called you." Hanna pursed her lips and rubbed her arms, feeling cold and exposed.
Adrienne ran a hand across her face and fought her anger, finding it hard to keep herself cool. "Is he still here?"
"... I guess so." She mumbled softly again and Sage walked up by her side, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.
"Hanna, can you point him out for me?" she asked strictly and Sage admitted to herself that she's never seen that side of Adrienne before.
Hanna nodded silently with hesitance, and the three walked out of the restroom with Adrienne leading the way. The loud booming music and the smell of sweat made Hanna woozy and Adrienne turned to her, holding her shoulders and looking in her eyes softly.
"What does he look like?"
Hanna managed to open her eyes and look directly into her sister's eyes while Sage was holding Hanna firmly, making sure Hanna can stand on her feet.
"White jacket, olive green shirt... slicked blonde hair."
With that description, Adrienne was sure she'll spot him easily among the crowd. Her eyes darted from blonde guy to blonde guy to the next until her eyes landed on a blonde guy that fitted Hanna's description.
