For what seemed like a long drive for Adrienne, Sage felt it took forever to reach home. The whole ride neither spoke, neither dared to open their lips and say or comment about what happened an hour ago. Her eyes were staring out the window calmly but her mind was invaded by storms, furiousness, disappointment, confusion and sadness for the other woman who was driving the car silently in the dark road. With a finger brushing over her lips so softly, a small line on her forehead is visible from her hard thinking. As much as Sage wanted to break the ice and warm Adrienne's heart with any kind of affection, she found it hard to make an action or do anything. Not to mention the fact that she admitted her feelings towards Adrienne in front of her father and she was trembling at the thought if Adrienne heard that part or not.

Parking the car in front of the building, Adrienne killed off the engine and got out of the car and Sage did the same, but slowly, keeping her eyes on Adrienne worriedly. Adrienne offered her a small smile and Sage returned it back from the outside, but from the inside, she had concerns.

Hand in hand, they walked inside the building and reached Sage's apartment. Standing outside, Sage pulled out her keys while Adrienne stood behind her, shifting from one foot to another then Sage turned to her.

"Adrienne, I think we shou-"

"Did you mean what you said?"

Adrienne cut her off with the sudden question, staring deeply into her hazel blue orbs. Sage's felt her lungs stop breathing, her lips opened slightly to answer but she couldn't. She didn't know which thing exactly Adrienne referred to.

"Yes, I meant what I said to your father," she said before sighing tiredly. "I'm not your girlfriend for money, I'm your girlfriend because I wanna be with you and no money in the world would keep me away from you an-" Adrienne silenced her lips with her finger shushing her words.

"You know what I'm talking about." she said softly, taking one step closer to her. "Did you mean it? Did you mean those words?"

Sage's lips felt free to speak again after Adrienne pulled away her finger but her words got stuck in her throat, her legs were shaking, her stomach was turning, her heart was racing erratically.

Her eyes averted themselves from the gaze that always made her nervous but then the same eyes that were shy to meet the blue ones had to look up and lock with them when Adrienne tucked her hand under her chin, raising her face a little before joining their lips softly.

Immediately, Sage linked her arms around Adrienne's neck and moved her body closer to touch Adrienne's when she felt the kiss was getting deeper. Pulling away softly and a little bit breathless, Adrienne cupped Sage's cheek in her palms, leaning their foreheads together. She could feel the tingling sensation when Sage's lower lip craved to brush itself against her lips but Adrienne didn't want to touch them before she says what she wanted to say from the beginning.

"I love you too." she said breathless with a smile on her face.

Sage chuckled a little and met her eyes but hers were a bit glassy and Adrienne moved her thumb over her cheek to wipe a tear that rolled down unknowingly from the overwhelming emotions.

"You do?" asked Sage, closing her eyes.

"I'm in love with you, Sage." she said it firmly yet softly.

Vulnerable eyelids opened slowly and tearfully and met the sharp yet gentle blue ones and before she even knew it, Adrienne pulled her in for another prolonged deep kiss, looping an arm around her waist, earning a soft moan from Sage. Sage's back made contact with the closed door and her lips opened to release a gasp, and Adrienne's body heated up when the kiss got intense, tongues battling, lips crashing.
