Sati had decided she would meet him again.

Sati had managed to get hold of a Shiva Linga and had secretly situated it in a part of her room. She started worshipping it. She had to do it secretly so she couldn't do it properly but her love and devotion was true! But Sati knew she had to see him again. She could not stay calm without seeing him again. That one meeting had turned her whole world upside-down. Knowing about him, her life changed and the only thing she could think about was Shiva. She needed to see him again but how? Then it clicked. Narada had said that he roamed in cremation grounds. She determined that she would go and meet him. And she did as she thought.

The very next day, she ventured out with her horse. She travelled for a while when she reached the outskirts of the capital where the cremation grounds started. Even though it was day, the surrounding felt eery. There were burnt pyres and skulls lying around. Ashes were spread every where. The environment sent a shiver down her spine yet she retained her courage and moved forward. She went in alone and kept her mount outside. She walked forward when a voice halted her.

"Why are you here again, princess?"

That voice. That same voice. It was very known to her. She turned towards the direction from where the voice came and there she saw him. Shiva was siting on a piece of rock. There were skulls lying around him and he was covered in ash. His voice was husky.

"I wanted to see you again" Sati replied.

Shiva looked at her with cold eyes.

"Why? Why are you coming to me?"

"From the moment I saw you, my mind is filled by your thoughts and when I came to know about you, it suddenly all made sense. I know it is unbelievable but I've fallen in love with you, Shiva. Its like I've loved you since the beginning of the universe."

Shiva's entire body shivered hearing his name from her voice again. It was so long since his Shakti called him but he couldn't lose control. He stood up and went near her.

"Don't get delusional, princess. Your world and my world are different. You come from society and I stay away from it. Your father makes the rules and I reject it. We are not alike Sati."

"I don't care. I can leave everything." Sati almost cried out.

Shiva said again, "If you've come to know about me then you must know that your father despises me. It's not possible."

Shiva stretched his hand and took Sati's hand in his. His touch played like a lightening through her body. He rubbed a bit of ash from his arms and spread it across her palm.

" You see this ash, Sati? This is my world where everything comes to an end. Where your world ends, that's where mine starts. Go back, princess. This is no place for you."

Sati's eyes were moist. She spoke, her voice breaking, "I will go back but you cannot ask me to stop loving you because I know you have the same feelings for me. I can see it in your eyes. You cannot mask yourself to me. I know you will come to me. I will wait for you". Saying so, Sati stormed off. Shiva stood there, speechless. Those words. He had heard it before. They always waited for each other.

Back in Daksha's kingdom, Sati entered the palace and went to the main hall. There she saw her mother and her sister standing there grimely. Then a voice thundered throughout the hall.

"Sati!!"

She jolted and turned around to see her father approaching angrily. She had never seen her father like that. He was always so loving to her. Yes, he was a bit short tempered but he had never raised his voice on her. She was startled.

"Fa--ther" Sati stammered.

"What have you done??" Daksha growled in anger.

"What did I do, father?" before Sati could get an answer, her mother signalled towards the door where she saw two doorkeepers taking out the Shiva Linga. She realised what happened. Her father knew about her worshipping Shiva. She took a step back.

"You ungrateful girl! Have you lost your mind? And where have you been??" Daksha questioned. Sati stayed quite. He took her hand and saw her ash covered palms.

"Oh! So you went to meet that uncouth barbarian!" Daksha shouted. "You are trying to insult your father? Why did you go to him?"

"Because I love him father!" Sati retorted back, finding a surprising amount of courage.

Daksha went grim and then he ordered, "Prasuti! Take Sati to her room and make sure she doesn't go out without knowledge"

Prasuti took Sati to her room despite her protests.
