As I stood on the street, I watched Mase drive away. Just moments later, I heard the girls calling my name, and I turned around to see them. My eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of my friends. We shared a big group hug and then entered the café. The waiter approached us, and Amelia requested a table for four. We were shown to our table. Feeling hungry, I eagerly scanned the menu. I finally decided on a cappuccino and an avocado toast with a fried egg on top. As I made my choice, the girls also made theirs, and we called the waiter over to take our orders.
"Okay, Palms, spill the details," Amelia said with a laugh.
"Well, Mase and I are just taking things in our own pace," I replied, smiling.
"But how did your connection with him start again? Weren't you avoiding him?" Eleia asked.
"It's a funny story, actually. I was babysitting Ben White's sister, you know, the football player. It was getting late when Mase texted me about a party Chilly was throwing. I initially declined because of babysitting, but Mase mentioned that Ben White would be there. So, I planned with him to give me a ride. And well, I've been staying at his place ever since."
"Have you been partying with all the football players? I'm so jealous," Willa chimed in.
"Haha, yes, I have, but I got really drunk and ended up spending the whole night with Mase," I giggled.
"But what's the status of your relationship?" Eleia asked curiously.
"We really like each other, but we've both agreed not to rush anything. I mean, I met most of his family yesterday and even have a key to his house, so things are definitely heading in the right direction," I explained, feeling genuinely happy.
"Girl, you've got a key! That means he's a keeper," Amelia added, and we all laughed.
"But enough about me, tell me what you guys have been up to," I asked, eager to catch up on what I had missed.
"Not much, really. Pretty much the same as before, except you've got your little fling," Willa replied.
"Yeah, we still go out on weekends, but everyone's been busy with work too," Eleia explained.
"I love that for you guys, and we definitely need to hang out more. I'm sorry I've been a bit distant," I apologized.
"No worries. What about later this week? The 28th, that's a Friday," Willa suggested.
"Yes, we can go out!" Amelia exclaimed.
"I'm free on Friday too," Eleia added.
"Sorry, girls, I can't. I'm going to Portugal for Mase's final," I shared.
"Of course," Amelia said, rolling her eyes. "No, babe, I'm kidding. You absolutely have to go to his final," she added, giving me a hug.
As we continued catching up, our food and drinks arrived, and we couldn't resist taking out our phones to capture the beautifully presented dishes. The colorful plates looked so appetizing, and we wanted to capture the moment before digging in.
We began savoring our meals, setting aside our phones after everyone had snapped their pictures. Just as we were getting engrossed in our conversation, Willa's phone buzzed with a notification from The Mirror. "Hey, Palms, speaking of Mason, take a look at this," Willa said, passing me her phone. I glanced at the screen, a defeated feeling washing over me.
The title saying "RUMORS CHELSEA STAR MASON MOUNT KISSING A MYSTRIOUS GIRL."
Mason Mount's fans, speculating about a romantic encounter that took place after the last whistle of the Champions League semifinal match against Real Madrid.
(Imagine it's Mason and Palma)
Mason, a talented 20-year-old Chelsea star, sharing an intimate moment with an unidentified girl. The images fueled curiosity and sparked debates among fans and football enthusiasts alike.
While the identity of the mysterious girl remained undisclosed, the pictures raised questions about Mason's personal life and his rumored romantic involvement. Supporters eagerly searched for clues, trying to unravel the enigma surrounding the girl who had captured Mason's attention.
This was just the beginning of the article, and I didn't want to read any more of it. The last thing I wanted was for the public to know about our private relationship. It seemed like our chance to take things at our own pace had been abruptly interrupted. Thankfully, the pictures didn't reveal my face, allowing me to remain unidentified. I let the other girls read the article while I focused on my food, not wanting to delve into the overwhelming topic just yet. As I finished eating, I decided to take out my phone and send a text to Mase. It had been two hours since he dropped me off, and I assumed his training would be completed by now.

Yes please, when will you be here?Mason
About 15 minutes<33I zoned back into the conversation at the table after being absorbed in my phone.
"Erm, girls, I'll be leaving in 15 minutes. That article really drained me of all my energy," I spoke, expressing my exhaustion.
"Yeah, I'm sorry, babe. Do you want us to take you home?" Eleia asked, comforting me with a shoulder rub.
"No, it's fine. Mase will come and get me. Thanks," I replied.
"Perfect. I'm glad he's taking such good care of you. He seems like a genuinely good guy," Willa added.
"He is, and right now, I just want to be with him after everything," I explained to the girls.
"I understand. Having your private life revealed must feel uncomfortable," Amelia said empathetically.
We continued our conversation for a few minutes until it was just 2 minutes before Mase was expected to arrive. I hugged all the girls' goodbye and stepped out the door, waiting eagerly for Mase's car to pull up around the corner. As the car approached, he stopped and I quickly got into my seat, embracing him tightly in a big hug, which he embraced warmly.
"You okay, love?" Mase asked immediately.
"Yes and no, I don't like our private relationship being revealed. The only good thing is that I'm still unknown," I replied.
"I know, I'm so sorry this happened to us," he said, rubbing my thigh.
"It's not your fault, Mase. It's mine. If I hadn't kissed you in such a public area, this would have never happened," I spoke, blaming myself.
"Stop saying that. It's none of our fault," he reassured me, making me feel comforted.
As we entered Mase's house, we made our way to the couch, and he picked out a movie for us to watch. Before long, I found myself dozing off, resting my head on his lap, as the movie played in the background.
