We made our way to the outdoor dining table, taking seats next to each other while my parents sat opposite us and my brother at the end of the table. We all eagerly filled our plates with the delicious dishes my parents had prepared.

"Any plans for the summer?" my mom inquired.

"We've been discussing the idea of going somewhere, just the two of us, to spend some quality time together and unwind, but we haven't decided on anything yet," I shared with my family.

"That sounds wonderful," my mom exclaimed.

"Oh, by the way, I just received an offer from a modeling agency and had an interview before coming here. And guess what? I got the position!" I said excitedly.

"That's fantastic, sweetheart! How did it all come about?" my mom asked, curious.

"Well, they spotted me on the street and offered me an interview. I thought, why not give it a try? So I went for it just before my flight to Monaco," I explained.

"I'm proud of you, baby," my dad chimed in.

"Thanks, Dad," I replied gratefully.

"Are you both leaving tomorrow morning?" my mom asked, remembering our departure plans.

"Yes, unfortunately, we can't stay longer because I have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon," Mase explained.

"Meeting about the transfer?" my brother teased, eager for inside information.

"You'll have to wait and see," Mase replied playfully.

"Oh yeah, I heard you might be heading to Manchester this summer," my dad joined in.

"Yes, they're interested in me, but I can't reveal any more details at the moment," Mase replied.

"I know, Palma knows it, and she's not even into football," my brother said, slightly jealous.

"Well, he's my boyfriend, he has to keep me updated on that kind of stuff," I defended, smiling.

"So, Mase, if you sign with Manchester, will you be moving there?" my mom asked, seeking clarification.

"If I sign with Manchester, yes, otherwise I'll stay at Chelsea until next summer," Mase clarified.

"Okay, that makes sense," my mom nodded. "And Palma, will you be staying in London?"

"I told Mase that if he goes to Manchester, I'll go with him, but we'll have to wait and see," I replied.

"Seems like you two have a lot of secrets going on," my dad remarked with a chuckle. Throughout dinner, the conversation revolved around Mase and me. When we finished eating and realized it was getting late, considering our morning flight, we bid farewell to my family, knowing it would be a few weeks, if not longer, until we would see them again. We made our way back to the shore, hopped on the jet ski, and drove back to the boat. It was getting late, so we headed inside and prepared for bed. I had already packed my belongings and brought them onto the boat, but Mase still needed to pack up his things. After finishing up in the bathroom, we climbed into bed together.

"I'm sorry, my potential transfer is filling so much right now," Mase apologized.

"Don't apologize, I'm glad you're keeping me in the loop," I reassured him, genuinely happy.

"You're the first person I want to share all of this with," he said, kissing the top of my head.

"I promise, in the next few days, I'll know where I'll be playing next season, and then we can go on the holiday together."

"That will be our first trip alone together," I remarked with a smile.

"I know, it's going to be fun," he replied.

"Speaking of the transfer, where do you hope to end up? You never told me your genuine preference," I asked curiously.

"I've already declined the contract from Chelsea, so obviously, I would like to go. I think it's time for me to move on in my career. I would prefer to join Manchester this summer, but as much as I love Chelsea, I wouldn't mind staying for one more season," he explained.

"I understand where you're coming from, but deep down, I sense that you want to go to Manchester, and I fully support and understand that," I told him. We snuggled up together, sharing goodnight kisses before drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, we woke up early to ensure we wouldn't miss our flight. We quickly got ourselves ready, opting for comfortable outfits for the journey. With our packing completed and a swift breakfast consumed, we were prepared to depart. A smaller boat arrived to transport our luggage back to the shore, and soon after, a car awaited us to take us away to the airport. As expected, we were flying privately, so the car delivered us directly to the jet on the runway. The airport staff took care of our luggage, and we made our way inside the aircraft to settle in. A few minutes later, the jet gracefully ascended into the sky.

"This is our first time flying together," I murmured, snuggling closer to him in our seats.

"Yes, and there will be many more to come," he replied with a smile. "We truly had a wonderful time with your family."

"I absolutely loved it," I said, my smile widening. "I can't help but feel that our families will blend together seamlessly."

"Indeed, and it's fantastic that everyone shares a passion for football," he chuckled.

"You always manage to make everything about yourself," I playfully retorted.

"But you love it when I do," he teased. As I nestled against Mase, exhaustion washed over me, and soon I drifted off to sleep. I was awakened by Mase's tender kiss on the top of my head. I slowly opened my eyes and glanced out the window, realizing that we had already touched down.

"Oh, we've landed already?" I mumbled.

"Already? You've been asleep for two hours," Mase replied.

"Sorry for not being awake to entertain you," I laughed, eliciting a laugh from him as well.

After we got off the plane, we went to Mase's car, which was parked right in front. We put our bags in the trunk and were ready to go home. Mase had the important meeting with the manager of Manchester United, so I told him I would go grocery shopping to give him space. I got back in the car, connected my phone to the speakers, and played some music. It only took me about ten minutes to get to the grocery store. I hadn't done much grocery shopping recently because I had been to Monaco, Portugal, and just in general been staying at Mase's place, so it felt nice to walk around the store. I grabbed a shopping cart and picked up all the things we needed. I made sure to get fresh fruits and vegetables for snacks, and I also got some sweets, bread, and meat, just in case we needed them for the next few days. Once I had everything we needed, I went back to the car and headed home, so I could hear about the meeting.
