The next day started calmly as we got ready for our quick trip to New York. With all the stress we've been through in our relationship lately, a few days away sounded like just what we needed. Things began easygoing, but Mason had to rush off to the Chelsea grounds for some things he needed to take care of. While he was out, I got down to packing. I chose out some light summer clothes and made sure to grab a few of Mason's comfy t-shirts—I never travel without them. Then, I gathered up all my skincare stuff, hair products, and other essentials, checking off each item on my list as I went along. Once packing was done, I took a quick shower to freshen up for the long travel night ahead. After that, I plopped down on the couch and scrolled through my phone, waiting for Mason to get back.

When Mase finally returned, both of us were all packed up and ready to hit the road.

"I'm back, baby!" Mase announced loudly as he walked through the front door.

"I was starting to wonder if you'd make it back in time," I teased, letting out a laugh.

"Did I take that long?" he asked, pulling a funny face. "Ran into a bunch of people, had to catch up and say goodbye, even though I'll probably be back one more time before we leave for good," he explained.

"That's great!" I said, smiling. "It's nice that you got to see everyone before we head out."

Mase nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, it was good catching up. But now, I'm all yours," he said, wrapping an arm around my waist.

"Good to have you back," I said, leaning into his embrace.

"By the way, does Marie know you're traveling with me?" he inquired.

"Yeah, I already told her," I replied. "She asked if I wanted her to arrange something, but I explained that you were coming along too," I added. "And I made sure it was okay with you joining me at my shoot, and she said it would be totally fine!" I exclaimed happily.

Mase's smile widened. "That's great to hear. Can't wait to see you in action," he said, his eyes sparkling with pride.

A few hours later it was time to head to the airport. As we settled into the car on our way to the airport, the excitement of our upcoming trip buzzed between us like electricity.

"You ready for your big shoot, Palms?" Mase asked, his voice filled with unwavering support.

I smiled, feeling a surge of confidence wash over me at his words. "Absolutely," I replied. "But I'm glad you'll be there. Your presence always calms my nerves."

Mase grinned, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze. "You know I've got your back, always," he said earnestly.

We rode in comfortable silence for a moment before Mase spoke again. "And about that Knicks game," he began, "I can't wait to see you in action in the studio, but I'm equally excited for our night out. It's gonna be legendary."

I nodded enthusiastically, picturing the bright lights of Madison Square Garden and the roar of the crowd. "Definitely," I agreed. "I can't wait to share the experience with you. It's going to be an unforgettable trip, that's for sure."

We landed late last night and went straight to bed when we arrived at the hotel.

Today is our first day in New York, and I had planned for us to try both a bagel place and a coffee place! We started off by grabbing a to-go coffee at Blank Street Coffee.

"Hi, how can I help you?" the cashier asked.

"Hey, I would like an iced latte with oat milk and hazelnut syrup," I informed the cashier.

"What about you, Mase?" I said softly, looking at him.

"Can I do a flat white, please?" Mase told the cashier, sending her a warm smile.

"Perfect, is that all for you guys?" she asked us.

"That will be it, yes," Mase informed her. She made the payment terminal ready, and Mase paid.

As we got our coffee, we walked to our next stop, a bagel store in the Upper East Side. We ordered and shared two bagels, one with salmon and one with tomato.

"These are amazing! How did you find this place?" Mase asked as we sat down.

"Just a recommendation from someone I follow on Instagram," I replied, giggling. "But it is really good, you're right," I said

"Take a bite of this one," he said eagerly, offering me the salmon bagel.

"That's incredible," I said, really enjoying the bagel.

"Do you fancy going for some shopping afterwards?" Mase asked.

"You can just ask if I want to follow you around while you're shopping," I said, sending him a smirk.

"No, not only me, you should do some shopping too," he said.

"So, you're telling me my clothes are boring?" I asked, jokingly.

"No, stop playing with me. I just think you should treat yourself," he said, squeezing me. "Or to correct myself, I'll treat you."

"We'll see," I said. I don't like when Mase talks about wanting to pay for me. "But back to your question, I would love to accompany you on our shopping trip," I said, smiling at him.

As we finished eating, we started walking to a big mall store, but on the way, we visited a few stores we passed by. We saw some sights along the way as well. Mase found a pair of sneakers and a sweatshirt. He insisted that I take a look in the women's section, and I found a sweater I really liked. Without hesitation, Mase bought it for me. It was really thoughtful of him. We saw some more sights on the way back to the hotel too, and decided to grab some takeaway dinner from Panda Express, as we were affected by the time differences.

We arrived back at the hotel room and ate our dinner while watching a show on the TV. After finishing dinner, we decided to watch one more episode. As the tiredness started to take over us, we decided to jump into bed.
