Alien metal clashes against each other, cold steel scratching the tips of both blades as they press against the other with no avail. The Red and Green Ranger were firmly standing their ground.
Green Ranger eventually had the high ground, breaking the monotony of sword-to-sword-based combat with a simple gut kick to Jason; said kick ruptured Jason's insides and took the air out of him. Exactly what his opponent was counting on. Jason saw the Green Ranger honing in on him from above, so he rolled out of the way. This left the other Rangers watching from afar; Kim, Billy, Trin, and Zack couldn't turn away from the action, nor could they hope to help out any further.
Trini helped Billy stand up as Zack and Kimberly watched the Rangers battle.
"GET HIM, JAS!", Zack cries out.
The Pink Ranger didn't say much, her suspicions about the Green Ranger weighing heavily on her mind. While getting Billy back to his feet, only Trini noticed Kimberly's lack of motion and cheerfulness. She had guessed why after what happened in Billy's garage, and for Kim's sake, she hoped she was wrong.
Their beatings could only go so far before they couldn't walk anymore.
Thinking fast, a capoeira kick comes out of nowhere for Jason; a means to gain some distance from the madman trying to gut him. The Red Ranger quickly drops the Green Ranger with a two-legged dropkick to his chest, returning the favor as it finally separates him. Rolling back to his feet, Red Ranger chucks his sword like a lawn dart at him.
Green Ranger, catching the incoming sword at the last possible second, swats it away. He charges at him again.
"You gotta be kidding me", Jason growls to himself.
He bends backward to avoid a charging jump kick from his opponent and attempts to sweep the leg. Green Ranger, being seconds faster than he was, kips up and immediately decks him with a right hand, knocking Jason down. Jason, staggering from the punch, misses a superkick.
Another misses as the Green Ranger swats it away.
Red Ranger goes for something different this time. Green Ranger looked to decapitate him with a patterned lariat but Jason ducked it, and before he turned around, clocked him with a Pele kick. Now Green Ranger was groggy.
Jason flattens him with a tackle, an old trick he had to pull out from his days of football. Now he had the high ground, hammering punches down like thunder on his face, over and over again trying to crack the helmet and visor open. However, there was one thing his rage forgot to take into account.
The Green Ranger's chestpiece suddenly blinded him with a point-blank blast firing straight up into the air; the attack wasn't even aimed at him and it still discombobulated the Red Ranger enough to where he couldn't see anything past his visor for the foreseeable future. And that was the opening his opponent needed to take advantage of.
Green Ranger capitalized on the momentary blindness of his opponent and quickly rolled away, grabbing his sword off the ground, the sharp edges glinting in the light. He stood up slowly, a sinister chuckle escaping his lips from behind his visor. He had the upper hand now, and he wasn't going to let it go to waste.
Punching the air blindly, Jason was left at his opponent's mercy.
"Where's all that bravado from earlier?", Green Ranger growled, his voice distorted by the helmet's voice modulator. He couldn't help but sneer, circling his blinded opponent like a predator mere feet away.
Chucking the sword up at his opponent, he throws it across the air, aimed like a spear at Jason waiting to penetrate him. However, the Red Ranger's vision began clearing up....just enough to catch the disturbance. He could barely make out the silhouette of the weapon flying towards him.
