The jigsaw had finally fallen in place.
Such painful memories Jacob did not plan to revisit. Yet it was hard not to; it's never easy. The matters that be at hand strictly prohibited both him and his sister from processing their fathers death properly, a decision that would become the underlying catalyst for how they defined their decisions for the rest of their lives. From staring beside a coffin to sitting cooped up amongst the dirty streets with nothing but the clothes in their backs, one day they had decided the life of the peasant was not for them.
They needed to do something about it.
And yet, for where it had them end up, they found pleasure in sulking in past grievances....for they were too proud of their new profound freedom, in more ways then one.
Jacob and Aubrey found solace at an old abandoned sawmill near the outskirts of town, just so happened to be one of their old hideaways back when they had nowhere to go. The piss ugly brown decor was eyerape after only a few minutes but if only this was their first time coming here, they'd be disgusted with it. Street kids adapt fast however.
Which meant no time at all for the the twins to set up shop here, boasting in confidence and proud of earlier and welcoming their freedom, despite the setbacks that came with it and what it had essentially cost them.
Standing 6 feet apart from each other, all they could do next was just stare and ponder, glancing at each other's primitive stature from an simple eye gaze apart. The feeling couldn't have been anymore polarizing or stargazing, having finally taken a good long look at their new enhanced bodies, scale by scale.
They even took notice of the liquidated gold from their skin rippling between the two siblings via an invisible force barrier. Witnessing this form of matter fluctuate and spike between their newly acquired bodies brought initial confusion, the scattering of thoughts, as a flower scattering seeds in a strong wind, hoping that they will find soil and grow well.
There was no way of understanding what was happening to them. But they liked it anyways.
"It—It's beautiful," Aubrey's voice quivers at the sight of this power overflowing. "Thoughts in my head, memories that aren't my own and the voice....I can hear it. The energy rippling between us. Can you feel it?"
Jacob only answered with a sly smirk and brief nod. "I nearly took care of them all by myself. But now with you, there's no way they'll stop us now."
Aubrey couldn't agree more; to her, it was time the people of Angel Grove looked up to them for a change. That they weren't invisible anymore in a crusty town on the path of scenic nowhere that constantly casts them aside and doesn't bat them an eye, especially in a world that grew cold.
Without love.
With these new powers and warped personalities, they felt the need to fix this....to make this right....was finally theirs. "This—this could change us forever," she stated.
"But where does it all come from?", Jacob couldn't help to pop the million dollar question.
Perhaps I can answer that.
The twins turned around, startled, aiming their weapons liquidated at the opened barn door and who appeared before them? None other than the Empress of evil and former Ranger of Zordon's old team of Rangers sixty five million years ago.....
....Rita Repulsa.
A third of the seeds planted for her masterplan, she approaches the mutating twins with a sinister smirk, holding and creasing her golden scepter.
