The hug was long, meaningful. Y/n felt safe in Max's arms it felt like the world stopped and max was the only person she needed, she was the only person she wanted. Max pulled away and cupped
y/n's face using her thumb to wipe her mascara filled tears away. Y/n looked down remembering what happened on the dance floor. Max used her ring finger to push y/n's head up softly.
"Hey what's wrong.... Is it because you had no one to dance with... I'm sorry I should of thought about it I just got carried away" max explains. Carried away? max really does like Lucas I'm such an idiot.
"No uhm.. it's not that don't worry about it" y/n reassured trying to avoid locking eyes with max.
"Please y/n tell me I care about you I won't be mad or angry or whatever your afraid of" care about you? She cares about me, not in that way I'm sure but it's something I haven't completely ruined our friendship storming off.
"When... you kissed Lucas I don't know I guess I just got jealous...." Y/n admitted.
"Jealous? Of me... oh.... Do you like Lucas" max spoke disappointed.
"No uhm it's.. it's not you" y/n mutters.
"oh" max sighs
"yeah.. oh" max and y/n's eyes met one girls filled with guilt and regret the other with sadness.
"If you kissed a boy I'd be...jealous" max admitted.
"you would... why?" y/n replies eyes still locked.
"because... I... uh..." max stutters staring deeply into y/n's eyes before stepping closer to her,shoes meeting, hands brushing, lips inches away. Y/n can feel Max's breathe decorating her face before max leans forward, the girls lips connecting. Max pulled away and kept looking at y/n's soft cherry tinted lips before going in again this time running her hands though the other girls hair. Y/n kissed back and pushed max gently against the bathroom stall before their lips departed again.
"cherry?" Max asked.
"What?"
"Your lip balm it's cherry.. isn't it" max laughed.
"Yeah" y/n giggled. Max pulled y/n back into another hug resting her head on her shoulder squeezing her tightly.
