"Can't keep up with her? Wow. Never thought I'd see the day." Sam said as the waiter came over.

The two ordered and sat there waited for their food. They talked and laughed as the night continued.

They eventually got their food, they ate and talked about their next race in Australia. Bucky finished his food first and just sipped champagne.

"How do you think we're gonna do at the next race." Sam asked him. Bucky thought and chuckled.

"I think you'll get first and I'll be second." Bucky said. Sam chuckled in disbelief.

"I don't think that's how that is going to go at all." Sam said as he looked at him.

"Why not?" Bucky Said. "Don't think you can beat me?"

"That's exactly why." Sam said. Bucky frowned slightly at that. "Why?"

"You're number one in the world. You've been doing this for a long time. You're a champion." Sam said. Bucky looked Sam dead in the eyes.

"You are a champion, Sam. Last I checked we tied at the race we just finished." Bucky said as he sipped some more champagne.

"That was a fluke."

"No... no it wasn't. Nothing is an accident. I believe you got first cause you are capable of beating me. But the only way it'll happen is if you believe it." Bucky said.

Sam shrugged slightly as he called over the waiter. The waiter came over with the check and handed it to him.

Bucky handed Sam his card to put with his. Sam put them both and have them to the waiter. "Wanna go for a walk?" Sam said.

Bucky liked the sound of that. "Sure." Eventually they got their cards back, and then headed out before the rest of the family.

They walked around the gardens near the restaurant. The two walked together in silence until Sam chuckled and then looked at him.

"Remember the other day you told me to guess If you've actually kissed anyone?" Bucky chuckled and nodded.

"Yes. Yes I do remember. Why?" Bucky said as he stopped and looked at him. Sam crossed his arms and looked at him.

"I don't think you have." Sam said confidently. Bucky raised a brow. "What makes you think that?"

"I think a guy who has kissed someone would have more confidence to ask out a girl they're interested in." Sam said. Bucky looked at him and chuckled slightly as he looked around.

"Are you sure?" Bucky Said as he stepped towards him. Sam stood his ground and looked at him. "Yes."

Bucky lifted his chin a little higher. "Are you positive?" Sam paused and looked at him.

"Maybe I'm not anymore." Sam said. Bucky chuckled and sighed as he backed up. "I'm still not going to answer that just yet." Bucky started to walk back to the restaurant.

Sam stood there slightly stunned. "What the hell..." he said to himself as he walked behind Bucky.

Bucky was slightly flustered but just ignored it and turned towards Sam. "Gotta walk faster to keep up with, Wilson."

"This isn't a race!" Sam said.

Bucky chuckled and slowed down his pace. "Here, I want to give you this." He took a ring off his pointer finger and gave it to him.

"Really?" Sam said surprised as he held it.

"Yeah, why not? You like it. That's what's most important to me." Bucky said. "Plus, I have a bunch on."

Sam chuckled and nodded. He put it on his pointer finger. "Thank you. These rings are cool as hell."

"I know. Suits you." Bucky said as he saw the Wilson family coming out of the restaurant. Bucky looked at Sam.

"I'm gonna go say my goodbyes and head out. I gotta go see how my families doing." He waved at Sam and ran off.

Sam was so glad he ran off. He finally could breathe. "What the fuck was that back there?" He said to himself as he sat down on a bench.

He glanced over at Bucky who was saying his goodbyes. He pointed in the direction where Sam was so that Darlene would know where he was.

Darlene thanked him and went over to him as the others went to the car. Sam had his face covered as he was flustered.

He kept replaying that moment in his head over and over and over again. He felt his mother sit next to him.

"Are you okay?" He heard his mothers voice ask him. He groaned and moved his hands. "Mom crushing on people sucks..."

She chuckled softly and rubbed his back. "What did he do?"

He lifted my chin up and was all like "bla bla bla... im good at Kissing..." he groaned and sighed.

Darlene just laughed and wrapped an arm around her son. "You'll survive. Don't worry." She teased him.

He leaned his head against her shoulder. "I know..." he said. He just looked up and sighed. "But he's into some girl..."

"A girl?" His mother said a tad confused. "Yeah... he says he can't keep up with her." He said as he looked at the garden.

"Hm... interesting." Darlene knew there was no way they Bucky was into a girl right now with how he's been acting around Sam.

"Well, I'm sure you'll figure it all out. But, let's get you home and get ready for a very long flight to Australia." She said with a soft chuckle.

He nodded and stood up with her. "Sounds good." He held her hand and walked back to the car.

She then realized by what Bucky meant. She held back a laugh. Sam looked at her. "You okay?"

"Y-yes. It's just kinda funny seeing how people are so oblivious.." she said with a smile. Sam wasn't sure where remark was coming from. "I mean... it can be stressful." He said.

She just chuckled and got into her side of the car. Sam got in the back and relaxed in his seat.
He buckled his seat. As he looked around he noticed the ring on his pointer finger that Bucky gave him.

He smiled softly and sighed.

"It'll work out."
