Pain. That's the only thing I could feel. As soon as I started to devour Veldora, an unimaginable amount of pain started coursing through my body. It felt as if my entire body was burning, muscles were torn apart, and bones shattered. It was as if the very nerves that were bringing this information to the brain were being torn apart.

Ciel. What is this? What's happening?

After a few more seconds (according to Ciel) which felt like hours to me, the pain suddenly disappeared.

What happened?

<Master has begun his evolution. All parameters has increased and as such, the pain has disappeared as all the excess magicules are being used to fuel the evolution.>

I see. I wonder how strong I will be after the evolution.

<Master need not wonder. The evolution has already ended. The only thing left is for Master to get used to the body.>

As soon as Ciel said that, my vision slowly became clear and i could see everything around me. There were two noticable facts. First, my wings. They had grown bigger. Big enough that i could see them whenever they flapped.

Looks like my side is winning. Quite comfortably, as a matter of fact. Geld and his men, along with the Black Numbers haveade quick of work of the Imperial Army. Gabil was guarding Frey and Carrion, who were now in their evolutionary slumber.

"Diablo." I call him. I didn't have the time to focus on him earlier as i was busy dealing with those siblings, but now that i finally have time, it's better to give him some job to do.

"Hai." Diablo said as he came in front of me and bowed.

"Why don't you go and make yourself a bit more useful on the battlefield instead of just spying on me. Look, why don't you get in contact with Yuuki for me."
"H-hai." He said in a dejected tone and teleports away. I mean, seriously, just how obsessed is he with me?

Now then, the main problem. I turn my vision towards the barrier containing Velgrynd. It seems she still doesn't understand what exactly is happening. I don't blame her. There is no way she can digest the fact that an arch dragon like me managed to defeat and devour a true dragon.

She scremaed as the barrier disintegrated and she flew straight at me firing thousands of flame at me.
