The weekend flew by, per usual.
Saturday Dustin and Lyric both had to go to work and Sunday we all stayed in and chilled.
Today is my first day. I'm slightly nervous but knowing Casey takes away the edge. He also told me to dress casually. This is gonna be one cool ass job. It's crazy to think about all the no's I received before getting this job. Timing is truly everything.
On my way out, I told Dustin and Lyric to have a good day and informed them I'd see them later on.
It took me only 10 minutes to get to the office. As I walked in the building I walked up to the desk attendant, whose name was Chanté, I'm guessing from the nameplate on the desk.

"Good Morning, how can I help you?" She greeted me with a smile.
"Good Morning, I'm actually Mr. Armsteads new assistant. Can you please direct me to his office ?" I asked politely, smiling back.
"I'd be more than happy to, so you go all the way to the 12th floor and it'll be the office at the end of the hall." She instructed.
"Okay, thanks!" I said heading towards the elevators.
"Anytime and have a good first day!" She replied before reverting her attention to her computer.
As I was in the elevator all I could do was attempt to calm down. I'm the new assistant to the CEO, that's huge as fuck.
The elevator rang signaling I had made it to the 12th floor. As I made my way to Nile's office, I saw the other company associates busy in individual meetings with, I assume, patients. Once I approached the end of the hall I was met with a door that read Nile's name. The nerves are coming forward.
Breathe. You earn and work for everything you've gotten so far. Breathe Mai. On three I'm gonna knock. One...Two...Three-
Just as I was about to knock, the door was swung open by Casey.
"Hey Ermias, go ahead. Nile's expecting you." Casey winked, patting my back.
Umm...okay. That was...interesting. The hell he mean.
