Shhhh my love

I opened my eyes hoping everyone had gone away, I was still in the doom room and I seemed to be alone. I begin to even out my breathing as I get myself off the floor, stepping into the light and beginning to walk out the door before I am stopped in my tracks at the sound of familiar heels hitting the cold stone. ''Turn around'' Yep, it was Lesso. Great. ''Sorry I locked your door, I promise it was for a good reason.'' I say as I turned to face the woman whose expression changed from furious to worried.  She walked over to me and stared at my face, her eyes widened at the sight of the newly formed scar. ''Did you punish yourself for something?'' She lightly jokes. ''No, I got something in my eye and when a tear falls it burns me, it's sort of a curse in our family. Show no weakness or live with the burden.'' I say trying to leave again. ''And where do you think you are going? you just scurried away from me and tried to hide. Don't lie to me, who else was in here and did they hurt you'' This time Lesso sounded strict, needing an answer rather than wanting one. 

I sat down on the wooden bench and Lesso sat next to me. ''Someone who I knew a long long time ago, they found me, he is responsible for how messed up I am, the reason I can't form a genuine connection with anyone, he broke me Lesso.'' I say looking up at her, my vision blurred by the start of tears. Lesso was quick to wipe the tear that was just about to fall, feeling my skin already burning in preperation. ''What was he doing here, do I have to worry?'' She looked into my eyes and I just sighed, he is a dangerous man, my father is strong but Rafal is driven by one thing my father doesn't have. madness, insanity, desperation. ''Where I come from we are taught to be ruthless and heartless, if karma isn't working fast enough then become karma. He stole part of me, well 2 technically, he cursed me and my life. Rafal he isn't a good person and it isn't great that he is here and he said before that he will kill me if I-'' Lesso's mouth dropped at the mention of his name. ''Rafal? No there is no way he can't be here!'' Lesso threw her cane and it crashed against the stone floor. I jumped at the sudden noise. ''If Rafal is back we need to protect everyone now!'' With that Lesso grabbed my hand and led me into the grand hall where the other teachers were. ''Staff meeting NOW!'' She yelled as we were all led into her office. 

She spoke about how I had seen Rafal and then spoke about the great battle in which she got her knee damaged meaning she needed her cane from time to time. The meeting went on for hours and hours until the decision was made that the school will be under lockdown until we are sure of safety. ''Ignes please stay back I need to discuss something with you'' Lesso called out as I was about to walk out the door.  walked back up to her and sat down. ''Ignes, I am sorry about what happened, you don't have to talk about it but if you want to... I am here.'' She shivered when she realised she was being nice. ''Lesso I am okay honestly I overshared and it really isn't that bad.'' ''I heard you scream, I did panic a bit thinking something horrific had happened to you, as much as you do my head in I need you around okay.'' I nodded in response to it before turning around, I was just about to step outside the door before an axe suddently fell infront of me, it must have not been secured properly. I jump and feel the familiar pain in my back, thankfully my wings didn't make an appearance but rather sent a shot of electric pain through my body. 

I fell to my knees trying to silence the scream but it didn't work, it came out as more of a wimper and I let my body hit the ground. I try to get up as fast as I can but through quick breathing and pain it didn't happen. ''Hey, hey what happened!?'' I hear fast heels approaching me and turning me over to my side so I can pull myself into a ball. ''Nothing just a scare Lesso I am fi-'' I say before another agonising groan leaves my body, Her and immediately goes to my back to soothe me before I jolt away and scream aloud. ''Oh my god Ignes what happened !? shh shh my love you are okay.''I can't speak but just keep rocking myself slightly trying to stop the pain. ''I- I- he- uh'' is all I can make out. She pulls me onto her so my head is resting on her shoulders while my body is being held together by her arms. ''Shhh, Shh it's okay my love. You are okay.' he will pay for doing this to you.' I feel a drip of water hit my skin, Lesso was silently crying as she held me. 

''lesso, I will tell you about it, you deserve to know. Please stay with me again tonight and we will talk'' I say feeling the pain subsiding. ''Okay, we can sleep in my room again but we really need to talk about this, he hurt me as I already said, but this is too far, even for him'' she scoffed. She wiped away her ears as she helped me to stand and took me to her room. I sat down on the bed and fell backwards so I was laying down. 

''Ignes we need to talk.'' Lesso's voice had become soft, like a little dove. She sat next to me as I prepared to open up to her, not fully but enough...
