Dancing with the devil

Baring my heart

I had just finished my class for the day. Finally time to escape this doomed establishment to go on a walk with Lesso. First I need to get changed from my work clothes, I can't really walk in heels and a skirt. Instead I opt for some black leggings and an oversized grey hoodie with some black trainers. 

I make my way over to the gates and Dovey's voice rings in my head 'Just tell her, bare your heart Ignes' I close my eyes and take a deep breath. This could go so wrong. 

*Lesso's POV*

I had to place one of my students in the doom room today, what part of no killing before graduation do they not understand? I quickly checked my pocket watch, time to go get ready for our walk. I don't see why she would want to go on a walk, at night, with me. Although the idea of her eyes glowing in the darkness is something I would quite like to see. Anyways... I get back to my dorm, I see Ignes walk out, my gosh she looks good in black. I put on some black loose trousers and a black sweater, for once I am wearing trainers not heels. I pulled my hood up so no one knew it was me and made my way to the gate. 

*Your POV*

I get to the gate and sit down on the steps beside it, trying to figure our how to talk to her, we only talk about work. I don't hear anything apart from the breeze swooping past my ear, I lean my head against the stone and take another deep breath. ''Don't look so depressed Ignes, you asked me to be here'' It was Lesso. ''Sorry I just...'' I was going to speak until I saw Lesso standing there in a sweater and trousers with... ''Are those trainers?'' I said out loud, crap. She laughed a little ''Well I didn't know where you would drag me to, I couldn't get my heels dirty now could i'' She smirks and I feel myself blush. 

''Well, uh yes true. Anyways shall we?'' I made a grand gesture as if I was one of those stupid ever knights. ''We shall kind sir'' Lesso mocked as we began to laugh and walk. ''So Lesso I just wanted to say something'' ''You just have...'' She said. I just nodded and stayed silent for a while, what could I say? As we headed towards the enchanted lake I walked a little too close and my hand briefly connected with Lesso's hand. I just felt myself go red and quickly moved my hand away. 

*Lesso's POV* 

I shouldn't have cut Ignes off, I feel like it is something important if she couldn't just come to my office and tell me. Now she is just silent, deadly silent. This walk is nice but maybe I should break the silenc- I just felt her hand brush against mine, I would be lying if I wish she hadn't moved away. I just let out a sigh. This is going to be a long walk. 

''So...'' 

*your POV*

''so'' I say, finally breaking the silence. ''Here we are, the enchanted lake, I think we need to talk about things, obviously the ball is tomorrow and we are both chaperones, I have been speaking with Dovey about a few things but I don't know where to even begin I mean first of all you are a great dean and the students are terrified of you but also seem to really like you Lesso. Second of all I have been told you knew it was Rafal talking to me in that mirror and I am sorry about the what... like 5 doors I have broken now and just I-'' 

My rambling was cut off by a pair of lips being placed on my cheek. I panic and pull away to see Lesso's eyes yet again reflecting the beautiful crescent moon as well as the water from the lake, definitely enchanting. ''Please shut up'' Lesso said. Then silence fell around us, nothing but the breeze and a few birds. Just staring into each other's eyes in complete shock. 

*Lesso's POV*

I just kissed her, I don't know why. Just the way her eyes shone while she was talking and her nervous rambling and the lake and oh my gosh I am falling for this woman so badly. I just look into her eyes in shock, now they are definitely glowing in the darkness but illuminated by the moonlight. She isn't speaking, why isn't she speaking. When I broke the eye contact I was shocked to find that her hand had intertwined in mine. I looked back and Ignes had not stopped staring at me, her eyes still wide. ''Well it worked'' She was bright red, she was incredibly flustered and I was proud that I could do that to her. ''Uhm... we should get back and get some sleep for tomorrow okay?'' I say as I untangle my hand from hers. 

*Your POV*

Lesso just kissed my cheek?! WHAT!? My chest got that fuzzy feeling again but I can't. I can't have her suffer for the sake of my feelings for her. I am just glad it wasn't on the lips, but even then it would have to be that stupid true loves kiss that only evers get. Nevers and evil do not get true love, I know first hand. ''We should get back and get some sleep for tomorrow'' Lesso looks at me, is she blushing again? Why would Lesso blush unless sh- OH MY GOD LESSO LIKES ME!

''Uh yes we really should, I still need to find an outfit, so do you, you can't be in that grey suit again'' I nudge her and she smiles... ''Lady Lesso can smile!?'' I say to her sarcastically, her smile is pretty. Which gained yet another bigger smile from the dean. We walk back towards the school, back into the school for evil and up towards her dorm. 

We get changed into pajamas and we head to bed. ''Look, for tonight... if you want to you can sleep in my bed, no funny buisness'' Lesso says, I can tell she is joking but I am too tired to try and joke anymore. ''You got it Lesso'' I say as I climb into her bed, it is so comfy!

I settle into the bed, resting my head on the satin laced pillow and begin to drift off, too tired to realise what I was saying. ''Goodnight Leo'' and I fell asleep. 

*Lesso's POV*

''Goodnight Leo'' my heart slightly dropped upon hearing that name. She can't know my real name, no one really does. My heart however did feel all warm at the nickname. There is something sweet about Ignes. ''Goodnight bat'' I say as I placed another kiss on her cheek and fell asleep.
