Dancing with the devil

The day after the day before

''But this time you are here'' I say as I grab her hand and lead her to bed.

I spent the night in the arms of the woman that I loved more than life... my fox... my leonora...

I woke up to a raven screaming into mine and Lesso's shared dorm.  I can't lie I was tired but I had just died for a while so... I am allowed to rest. 

Lesso on the other hand... 

''Shut up! Damn bird, can't I just sleep?'' Lesso said in her morning voice which was heavenly. 

''Leo don't worry about the bird'' I said as I turned to face her and wrapped my arms around her. ''Let's just stay like this for a while. Dovey has given me and you a few days off to recover from yesterday's events, let's enjoy the time we have together'' You say while cuddling into Lesso, scared you might lose her. 

''My darling... You don't have to hold me so tight, I won't go anywhere and I am not letting you go EVER again'' Lesso said as she embraced you in a loving hug. 

''Leo... I already told you I will never leave you again. you know I love you, you literally hold my heart and soul with you every single day''  You play with the rings on her finger. 

''I know, and I will keep you safe. keep you from harm or any danger that may present itself'' Lesso said as she hugs you a little closer. 

I just want to stay here forever, in the arms of the woman I love, no fear of anything, just us two against the world 

''I know you will Leo, but also I can fight my own battles'' You joke with her, you know Lesso is scared to lose you again. 

''Come here fox'' You say as you look into her eyes. '' I am going nowhere, at all, I love you Leonora and I will love you eternally'' 

For the first time since I met her I could see a look in her eyes that could only be described as pure, unfiltered truth. ''I love you too Lillith, I always will'' She says. 

A knock at the door disrupts you both. ''Lesso, Ignes? It's Dovey, can I come in?'' 

''Yes'' Lesso answers, still holding you in her embrace. 

Dovey enters and looks at you and Lesso. 

''You two are so perfect for each other, aww.  But unfortunately we need to talk about yesterday. I know you might not want to, neither do I but if anyone found out about yesterday's events... it would not be good. Meet me in my office at 2pm'' Dovey says as she heads out the door.

''No rest for the wicked then...'' I say as I yawn. ''I'm too tired to go through what happened yesterday'' 

''I know my dove but unfortunately if we don't talk about it Dovey will never shut up about it'' Lesso says

It was 1pm by the time you had woken up enough to want to leave the dorm. You and Lesso got ready and began to walk over to the school for good. 

You dragged your feet, honestly you don't want to talk about what happened, then Dovey would really find out who I am. 

''Lesso slow down, I'm only short!'' You shout at the redhead who was already half way across the bridge. You huff then begin to run to catch up with her. 

You both enter the school for good, almost blinded by the golden shimmer that is painted all over the castle. ''Ignes, Lesso! just come in'' Dovey shouts from her office. 

We walk into the office, Dovey was sat in her throne chair, she looked very official for once, there was a small mist of unease in the room. 

''So... we have to talk about what happened, this was very serious and you did actually die Ignes so we have to have this conversation for the interest of the school. What happened?'' 

You began to talk Dovey through the first moment when you felt your heart begin to falter a little, then to you walking away because you felt strange. ''And after that I don't remember too much i'm sorry'' 

''That's okay Ignes, I understand, Lesso? what happened while you were with Ignes'' Dovey looks over at Lesso but before their eyes met, I looked at Lesso and gave her a look that told her how scared I was. She just looked back at me with no expression and I let out a shakey breath.

''Well me and Ignes were dancing and just as the song ended we might have kissed, then Ignes stepped away with her hand over her chest, then she walked away, I followed her. She began to stumble which is when I got concerned and that is when you began to follow us, next thing I know Ignes collapses and that is all I know, then you stayed with her until she woke up'' 

'Leo I could kiss you, thank you for not telling Dovey' I think, I know Lesso heard me because not a second later her voice appears in my head. 'Please do kiss me, not here, your secret is safe with me Lilly' 

''Okay, well the good thing is you are alright, I was worried about your health ,however Ignes, going through something like that is traumatic and I want to make sure you are safe. Same goes for you Lesso, if either of you needs to talk my door is always open and I am sure we can find a great therapist should you want to seek help. Okay, that is all ladies, now please go and rest'' 

''Thank you Dovey'' I say as I stand up and begin to head out. ''Lesso, you coming?'' I noticed I couldn't hear heels clicking behind me. 

''I will meet you back in the dorm I just need to go over some cover stuff with Dovey'' Lesso said, she does need to arrange cover for the week so I headed back to our dorm. 

*Lesso's POV*

''Dovey, I have gotten to now Ignes quite a bit but I don't know how she will handle this, I will keep an eye on her but I am a little worried'' I say, I have no idea how I would deal with this if I had went through that. 

''I know but she seems pretty okay'' Dovey said trying to reassure me.

''I know, that is why I am worried... I should head back to the dorm, I will keep you updated and I hope you are okay too Dovey, I know I'm not normally one to ask but whatever happened yesterday was scary and not in a good way, I will see you later'' And with that, I left and began to walk back across the bridge and towards our dorm.
