Everyone wants attention. I understand that. But there are some people who take the normal concept of wanting attention, and multiply it by 100. I think that everyone has the right to get attention in the way that they want. That can be being loud, being fearless, dressing in revealing clothing, flirting easily, or whatever the hell you want. But there is an invisible line that everyone needs to stop at.
When you begin to create problems that don't exist, then you are instantly an asshole in my book. That could be starting drama between friends or getting upset WAY too easily. Those things are annoying and completely pointless. However, I can stand them, they're just irritating and I would rather not be around a person who starts drama.
But what really sets me off is when people fake MENTAL ILLNESSES! Any sane person wouldn't want to have problems like depression, anxiety, or eating disorders. Yet some people are so desperate for attention that they fake these things.
It's to get support from others, which I honestly don't understand. Why do you need to have someone's pity? I've seen things like this happen when people post pictures of their self-harm on tumblr. What the hell are you doing with your life? Do you really need to have the support of strangers to feel self worth?
Doing things like this is also extremely disrespectful to people who actually have problems. A person who self harms is depressed, maybe overwhelmed. Whatever the reason, there are people who cut for legitimate reasons. And I am here to support those people 100%. (Anyone can feel free to message me if they need to talk about any of that stuff)
But when you mess up a perfectly good body just for kicks.... well all I can say is: Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.
