Homophobia

People are more accepting nowadays, but homophobia is still a huge problem. Especially with our generation. I'm just your average band-obsessed teenager that is surrounded by complete morons. I constantly hear things like: "Eww! That's gay!" "You're such a fag!" These comments aren't directed towards me, but they just anger me so much.

Like why do you have to hate on people for their sexuality? And since when did the word "gay" become an insult? I know that a lot of people hate One Direction, and I'm one of those people. I hate them because their music sucks and they don't treat their fans kindly. But there are guys in my grade who just say things like: "Ugh, One Direction is gay!" to the 1D fangirls.

Luckily, these remarks are followed by girls screaming: "HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT JOHNNY *insert 1D fangirl claim here*". So these guys get their consequences.

But I think that people should think before they speak. Next time you're thinking about saying: "That's so gay.", say something like "That's so stupid or dumb."

Because if you continue to make remarks like this, you don't know who your hurting, and nobody deserves hate just because of who they love.
