This rant deals with serious topics but it won't have graphic images. However, if you are triggered easily I advise you to listen to some Twenty One Pilots and walk away from this.

Depression. Is. Real. And it should be talked about. But not glorified disgustingly by social media.

I'm tumblr trash. But some of the stuff I see on there makes me sick.

People posting pictures of their self harm and claiming to be suicidal. Gifs and pictures of people killing themselves.

Depression is seen online as a girl in a sweatshirt feeling sad. A boy hugs her and suddenly, she's perfectly fine.

Depression is detaching from relationships, not relying on others for happiness.

It's staring at the fucking ceiling at 3 am, paralyzed by sadness and just wondering what the point of going on anymore.

It's feeling fucking sad even though everything in your life is fine.

It's drowning while everyone around you is breathing.

It's not posting pictures of your pain and yelling about how badly you want to kill yourself. Depressed people don't say that they're depressed because they're in too much pain to admit it.

I don't think that people shouldn't talk about it online. A few of my favorite Youtubers have openly talked about their depression to inspire people to keep going. And a few of my friends have throughly explained their depression online just to get it out.

There's nothing wrong with that because they're doing it to get across a message, not for pity or likes.

You want to get more likes? Make a TV show blog. Post sexy pictures. Be artsy. Stop following this fucking depression train it's disgusting.

You know who you are if you're faking depression.

I dare you to go inside a suicidal person's head for one day.

See how long you fucking last.
