What Bodies "Should Look Like"

I have no idea why I'm ranting at one in the morning. I can't sleep so enjoy.

So on July 1st there's this movie coming out, Magic Mike XXL. It's the sequel (or third movie why the fuck is it XXL?) to Magic Mike, which (from my knowledge) is a movie about male strippers.

Now I enjoy guys with nice muscles just as much as the next straight girl, but let's be real here. That is not what people look like.

I completely understand wanting to see this movie (cause damn have you seen Channing Tatum??) but if you do, don't let these bodies be what you imagine every guy to look like.

It just isn't fair. Women don't want men to compare us to supermodels, so why do we get to compare men to these people?

Along with giving people pre-conceived notions of "the perfect body", Hollywood photoshops basically all of their photography of celebrities.

Girls see skinny women on the cover of magazines with the title "Get this body in only 30 days with *insert weight loss program here because I honestly don't know any*"

But you see, it's important to keep healthy, but this body is just impossible to achieve. It's completely photoshopped and is causing women to feel insecure about their bodies.

I'm sure that all this stuff with the male strippers is making guys feel insecure too. I'm not sure because I don't have much Intel on that (just a guy friend who keeps spamming me with annoying texts, no wonder I can't sleep) but I bet you 100 bucks that it does.

So the gist of this this rant is to stop having such high expectations of these things. You're just going to be let down and hurt someone's feelings.

Sorry if that was lengthy I just have a lot on my mind. Have a good night/ morning!
