Chapter 13

"AaAAaH" 

Ori jumped at the sound. She was, after all, the only one there. Jeremy had gone to find supplies, leaving her to tend to an unconscious Mochi and Jake. The sound seemed to have come from behind her, where Mochi and Jake were supposed to be. Ori turned around to see what had made the noise. 

"Wh-hat's going on?" a half awake Jake asked. Ori breathed a sigh of relief.

"OMG JAKE YOU'RE AWAKE!" she said, enveloping him into a tight hug. Jake froze in shock before patting her back akwardly.

"Did I die or something? Am I SUPPOSED to have died?" Jake asked as they pulled out of the hug.

"You ALMOST died. You were unconscious for a while." Ori explained as she rummaged in her bag. "Anyways here, you need to eat something." she passed him a slice of pizza and a bottle of water. Jake grimaced at the food.

"I know this may be the worse thing I'm ever gonna say, but I'm sick of processed food." Jake said as he took the food and started eating it. Ori nodded.

"I agree. This isn't a particularly healthy diet and I'm starting to feel the effects of it." 

Ori turned back to her backpack and took out a lemon. Jake looked up curiously. 

"You gonna make lemonade or something?" he asked. Ori shook her head.

"It's for Mochi."

"Ohhh."

Ori went over to Mochi, cupping the lemon in her hands. When she got there she knelt over Mochi's unconscious figure and squeezed the lemon juice into her mouth. Mochi sputtered awake at the sourness of the lemon.

"Oi cannot let me sleep issit?" she asked. "I kena get knocked by some explosion still not enough ah?"

Ori and Jake laughed. "It's not that, I just needed to make sure you were awake." Ori replied as she threw the lemon off the shelf. 

"Anyways, good to see you alive Mochi." Jake added. Mochi grinned. 

"It's gonna take more than an explosion to take this bitch down." Mochi declared. Ori rolled her eyes.

"Ok strong ass, but you still gotta eat something." Ori said, passing her a slice of water. Mochi reacted the same as Jake to the pizza, but more dramatic.

"UrgHhHhH, pizza again? So boring leh. Also very unhealthy but I can't really care about that part." she exclaimed. Ori almost could swear that she saw the back of her head when she rolled her eyes at Mochi's comment.

"It's all we have left so eat up."

Just as Mochi was about to say something along the lines of "What if I refuse to eat?",  Jeremy came back.

"Got quite a good haul back, I think it can last us for 3 more days- OMG JAKE, MOCHI, YOU'RE AWAKE??"

"YEAH BITCH WE UP AND ABOUT NOW." 

Jeremy laughed at Mochi's enthusiastic response. "Good to hear. Since ya'll are up again can we continue our journey? We still have quite a long way to go you know."

"And how would you know how long the way is." Jake questioned.

"Instinct. So are we gonna keep moving or what?" Jeremy replied.

"Oh come on, give us a break! We just survived an explosion! EX-P-LO-SION!" Mochi protested.

"Yeah Jer, wouldn't hurt to take a little break for these two to recuperate." Ori added. Jeremy sighed.

"Fine." 

"YAY! Ok bye bitches, I'm going back to sleep." 

"Night Mochi."

"Sweet Dreams Mochi."

"You guys aren't gonna join me?"

"Nah I'm already too awake to go back to sleep."

"Same."

"No Jake you have to go to bed."

"Aw but why? Jer get's to stay up so why can't I?" 

"Cuz he's not the one with a cut in his head. Now go sleep."

"Fine MOM."

"Night Jake."

"Yeah go sleep Phey Phey."

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me by my surname!"

"A lot more. Now, SHUT UP AND SLEEP."
