A once a year event. Bigger than the Olympics. Students get 3 chances to prove themselves.

The Sports Festival has arrived for the students of UA. A chance to show off your skills for a chance to get scouted by the pros. A chance for non hero students to impress the staff for an opportunity to be put into the hero course.

For Izuku, it's just another regular day. The previous year, he entered late and didn't get a chance to participate, but this time, he plans to dominate it totally. This is why he went to Mexico. To cement his place as top dog at UA.

Unofficially, he's the strongest 2nd year student at UA. And with this victory, he shall be known as the absolute strongest.

Maybe then will he finally learn what it means to be strong.

The waiting room was completely empty sans for his presence. Being the lone student of 2-A means that he will always be by himself, and that's fine. He prefers it this way. It means that there will be no distractions.

A knock on the door brought him put on his thoughts. "Come in."

The door was opened, and Nezu walked in.

"Hello, Midoriya! How are you?" The little mouse man hopped on his shoulder and made himself comfortable. The two have a good relationship, it reminds Izuku of his many cats back home. He loves animals, so he enjoys Nezu's company as well.

"Ready to prove to them that I'm the king of the jungle." The aura he was exuding was unlike anything Nezu has ever felt.

The boy looked ready to burst with excitement!

"Most ambitious young man! I, too, am excited to see the results. No doubt today, the Tiger shall bathe in blood as he sinks his fangs deep into opponents flesh. I look forward to seeing your performance. Now I must be off, I am in charge of the third year students for this year. Goodbye!"

The little mouse walked off and exited his waiting room.

"Tear their flesh off? Yea, I have a few ideas for that."

The door slowly opened again. "Did you forget something, Nezu?"

A hear of white hair peaked through. "Um, Izuku? It's me, Fuyumi." Her bright blue eyes peeked through the door, and she lit up as she saw him. Fuyumi approached the young student and enveloped him in a hug. "I'm glad I found the right room."

"What's up, Fuyumi? What are you doing here?" Not that he minded, he likes Fuyumi, but he figured she'd be cheering on her younger brother. He learned the other day that Shouto Todoroki, a student from the class he took care of before. Class 1-A.

"I see him every day, and I believe he'll do just fine. Besides Natsuo and mom and cheering him on." His cousin Natsuo he hasn't met yet, and Aunt Rei he hasn't seen since the funeral of his father. "I wanted to cheer you on instead little cus." She ruffled his hair, which messed it up way more than it already is.

"Gross." He tried fixing it but no dice. His hair has a mind of its own.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen!" They heard the teachers' voices through the speakers, which meant that he had to get ready.

"I'll see you later, Fuyumi."

"Later and good luck, Izuku." She hugged him and gave a smooch on his forehead before taking her leave. He followed right out after but went the opposite direction towards the stadium center.

"Welcome to the annual 2nd year sports festival where our students of the second year battle it out for supremacy. With a year of experience, these students are sure to make an impression on the world. I am Vlad King, and joining me today is our favorite cooking hero, Lunch Rush!" Vlad's voice was very soothing for some reason. He had a great voice for radio.
