Me and Alicia were back at our dorm room and I was still upset about what happened with Taylor earlier.

"Girl, are you okay? You seem irritated", Alicia asked me.

"There's just a lot going on right now", I replied.

"Girl same with me. Diamond just called me fifteen minutes ago and told me that Jayla and Trey got into it again when they went to the to gym."

"Oh wow", I said.

"I know. I told her that I'm tired of the drama with her boyfriend and I'm tired of the drama between her and Jayla. So I hung up. I ain't tryna hear that", she said unlocking our room door.

For once, I felt exactly how Alicia felt. Pulled into something that doesn't have anything to do with you.

"I feel you", I said.

"Yeah, but I'm glad me and you don't have those problems", she said plopping on her bed.

"Me too."

I sat down on my bed.

"What song should we listen do", I asked searching through the radio.

"Any song that talks about frustration", Alicia said.

I laughed.

"Ok."

After I put the song on I laid down. I thought about my first official day at Weston and every second of it made me mad. From meeting Alicia's friends to dealing with Taylor and her problems. I was sick of it all. I know I said college life would be easy, but it seems to be everything but that. Bratty chicks, boy problems, and drama. It was all too much to handle. This isn't how I thought my first day of college would be. I wanted to desperately call my parents and tell them that I wanted to come home. It was easier there. But I knew I couldn't. This is my new life now, and whether I liked it or not I had to deal with what came with it. My head was throbbing and thinking about it made it even worse.

"Alicia?"

I turned over to my roommate. She was asleep. There was no sound but the music on the radio. So I closed my eyes and went to sleep. It was the least I could do for my brain.

I woke up. My head was feeling a lot better. It was still light out so I knew I had some time to go to the library and study. I looked over at my roommates bed. It was empty. Alicia was gone. I got up and washed my face. I thought about Taylor and how she was feeling. I knew I shouldn't care, but I did. After all she was the one having a baby and it seemed like the whole world was mad at her.

When I went back out to grab my books I saw a note on my bed. It was from Alicia.

> Dear Megan,

I'm going out for Spirit Team practice, but I should be back around 6:30. If you need anything call me. My number is 8647340012.

Thanks!

> Alicia

I smiled. She was truly the best. Never have I met someone so straight forward. It made me feel a lot better to know I had a friend like her. I put the note in my drawer and gathered my books. After I locked the door I went to the library. It was a pretty open school so it didn't take my long to find the library.

It was quiet and very big. I have never seen a variety of books in such a huge space. I decided to find a table near the computers.

When I sat down a familiar voice came behind me.

"I didn't know you studied at the library?"

I turned around. It was Brandon Johnson.

"Oh yeah, I just started today", I said trying to not keep eye contact.

"Nice."

I looked back up and saw him looking at me.

"What?", I said.

"Nothing, I just thought I was the only person who comes to the library at this time of the evening", he chuckled.

I raised one eyebrow.

"Doesn't everyone?"

"No not really. Most people are at home, partying, or asleep", he replied.

I had to give him credit. He was smooth with his words and he did have a point.

"Well, sometimes it's ok to be different from others", I said turning the page in my book.

"You're right. It's times like these that we need leaders and not followers", he said.

I shook my head.

"What?", he smirked.

"You're standing here talking to me after your girlfriend rudely accused me of doing something on purpose when it was clearly an accident earlier this morning and you don't think there's anything wrong with that?"

He became serious.

"She said she was sorry."

"Yeah after you checked her", I snapped back.

He sighed and went over to the reception desk. I think I hit a nerve, but I didn't care. He has no right trying to flirt knowing his girlfriend is a total brat. And she obviously doesn't want anyone else with him. What a jerk.

I continued studying for another thirty minutes. I got bored and decided that was a wrap for today. But before I left I did something that Alicia would probably kill me for. I went up to Brandon Johnson. He was talking with his friends.

"Excuse me?"

He turned around.

"Yeah?"

"I need to talk to you", I replied.

He told his friend that he would be right back.

"What's up?", he said still agitated from earlier.

"I just wanted to apologize. I shouldn't have came off on you like that. I'm just having a bad day."

His eyes brightened up.

"It's cool. I know Emma can be a bit much sometimes but she really is a nice person once you get to know her", he said.

"Yeah, I believe everyone deserves a second chance", I smiled.

"Definitely!"

"So are we good now?", I asked.

"We're good", he replied.

For a moment we just stood there looking at each other. There was obviously something there. I just couldn't pinpoint what it was yet.

"Brandon!", his friend yelled from behind.

"I'm coming bro", he replied and smiled at me.

Boy that was something. The guy I thought I could hate, just turned out to be the guy I wanted to date.
