Naruto was walking on the street of Konoha, there were some angry stares given to him but Naruto was too happy to notice them. Someone actually believed in him and gave him some encouragement. From a girl no less! And a cute one too...
"Hey Naruto." A voice broke him out of his thoughts
Naruto turned around to see Mizuki smiling at him. "Hey Mizuki-sensei, what's up?" Naruto greeted
"Nothing much, can we talk for moment? Somewhere more private?"

It was now sunset and Naruto and Mizuki were sitting on a ledge.
"Naruto, I know how much you wanted to pass but..."
"Iruka-sensei won't let me." Naruto cut him off
"Iruka is tough on you but he's not against you." Mizuki said
"Then why? Why only me?" Naruto's depressed mood came back
"He wants you to be strong. With all his heart. But that will never happen if he goes easy on you. He’s like you, you know. No parents. No family..." Naruto looked sad at this
"But... This time I really wanted to graduate. I've been training so hard this year but I still failed."
Mizuki chuckles quietly, this was too easy "Then I guess I’ll have to tell you."
Naruto looked at him confused.
"It’s a secret. But I’m gonna let you in on it."
"A secret?" Naruto repeated
"Yeah a secret. You see there are other ways to become a Genin, like how I did. Back in the day, I took one of the Hokage's special scrolls. You simply take the scroll and learn a Jutsu from it. Since the law is still in effect, you can do it too." Mizuki explained
"Really!?" Naruto said, hopeful
"Really. Y'know, I can set up that test for you if you'd like." Mizuki offered
"Yes! Yes! Thank you Mizuki-sensei!" Naruto hugged Mizuki
Perfect. Now to phase two. Mizuki thought as he hugged Naruto back

Hinata Hyuga was wandering the forest. She was collecting herbs to make healing ointment. Her clan's tradition didn't allow her to pursue her interest Jutsu, like Medical Ninjutsu. So she secretly got a book in medicine and started going out for herbs when her family at the Hyuga compound was asleep and sneaked pass the guards.
Hinata was wandering when she heard a familiar voice. "Damn it, this scrolls heavy..."
Hinata pecked out from behind a tree to see Naruto on the ground with a large scroll on his back.
Naruto? Why is he out here so late? Hinata thought to herself as she walked towards Naruto
"Naruto-kun?" Hinata said out loud
"Huh? Oh Hinata-chan! What are you doing here?" Naruto asked her
"I-I was just... searching for herbs for medicine recipes and healing ointment." Hinata answered shyly
"W-What are you doing here N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked Naruto
Naruto perked up at the question."Oh, Mizuki-sensei said that there was a secret test that if you take of the Hokage's secret scrolls and learn a jutsu from it, you'll be promoted to a Genin." Naruto explained
"I-I've never heard of this." Hinata said, confused
"That's why it's a secret! I'll even let you learn one from the scroll~." Naruto offered
Hinata though for a moment. Maybe if I learn a powerful jutsu, then maybe Father will be proud of me.
Hinata walked and sat next to Naruto, Naruto smiled widely and opened the scroll. "Wow, this looks a lot like Fuinjutsu." Naruto commented
"Y-You study Fuinjutsu?" Hinata asked, suprised her crush knew a rare and complex jutsu
"Yeah, I've been studying it since I was a kid. I was looking through a scroll shop and found a book of Fuinjutsu. It was cheap so I could afford it and I've been studying Fuinjutsu ever since." Naruto admitted
"T-That's rather impressive." Hinata said
Naruto blushed at the compliment and continued to read the scroll. He stopped at the part that said 'Shadow Clone Jutsu'.
"Damn it. Clones, my worst technique." Naruto said out loud
Hinata read what Naruto just read and relized the jutsu. "N-Naruto-kun, this is the Shadow Clone Jutsu."
"What about it?"
"The clone technique we learn at the academy are merely illusions but the Shadow Clone technique clones are solid and take more chakra. Maybe this will help you." Hinata was surprised that she didn't stutter again
"Well I guess I'll give it a shot." Naruto stood up
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto did the hand signs and hundreds of Naruto clones appeared
"Woah..." Naruto said
"S-So m-much c-clones... N-Naruto-kun, h-how m-many c-clones d-did y-you in-intend t-to m-make?" Hinata said, overwhelmed by the amount of clones
"I didn't... I just tried to make as many clones my chakra could make..." Naruto said
As many as your chakra could make? If Naruto made this much, then the amount of chakra he has much be incredible. Hinata thought
"Wow this is so cool!" Naruto said, hugging on of his clones
"I used to suck at clones but now I'll be sure to become a ninja now!" Naruto said happily
Naruto turned to Hinata and hugged her. "Thanks Hinata!"
"F-for w-what N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata stuttered through her blush
"You helped me with my worst technique! If you hadn't explained what the jutsu was, I would never become a ninja! It's all thanks to you!" Naruto said
