Chapter 22

Hinata was running through the trees, she could smell the salt water. Hinata could see the salt water through the leaves.

She could hear fighting on the dock. Hinata stopped to see what was going on. Activating her Byakugan, Hinata could see Naruto and Sasuke in a ice mirror dome being attacked by acupuncture needles. Hinata tried to find Tazuna and her sensei through the mist.

She saw Zabuza about to kill Tazuna! She had to act! Adrenaline filled her veins as she jumped off the branch she was on and lunged at Zabuza.

Familiar chakra flowed throughout her body and gathered at her hands. It felt like her Twin Lion Fist but it felt more powerful than before.

"Gentle Step: Twin Lion Fist!" Hinata yelled out, her fist colliding with Zabuza

Zabuza flew back and landed on the ground roughly. Blue chakra lions glowed brightly on her hands.

'I did it! I actually did it! It looks so beautiful!' Hinata thought woth pride

"What's this?! Another cheap trick?!" Zabuza said angerly

Hinata ignored him and said to Kakashi. "Protect Tazuna, I'll deal with Zabuza." She walked towards Zabuza with confidence and determination

"If you try to harm anyone close to me, you'll see what the Hyuga can really do." Hinata threatened, Byakugan activated and Twin Lions glowing brightly

Zabuza only growled in anger, he felt weaker. 'The brat came out of nowhere. With her eyes, she'll be able to see and dodge all of my attacks! And on top of that! She can somehow absorb my chakra!'

"No matter, I'll simply kill you and your precious sensei!" Zabuza lunged at Hinata

He tried to strike her with his sword but Hinata dodged it. She quickly hit the tenketsu's in his left leg.

'He's angry at me. He has all of his attention on me. He's getting sloppy with his attacks with leave them open to me.' Hinata hit the tenketsu's in his abdomen

Zabuza tried to aim his sword at Hinata but before he could, Hinata struck the tenketsu's in his wrist that was holding his sword. With her other hand, she grabbed the handle to his sword and pulled it to her. With her empty hand, she gathered chakra into her palm and connected it to Zabuza's chest and and he went flying.

Zabuza coughed up blood and looked up to see Hinata holding his sword. She looked impressive by it and spun it around as if she was trying it out. She then set into the traditional Gentle Fist taijutsu style with his sword in her other arm.

"Wanna try again?" She asked

Rage filled Zabuza. He rushed at her in a blind rageand tried to his her but Hinata used the flat side of his sword as a shield. With her other hand, Hinata punched Zabuza in the face. She then lifted the sword up and tried to cut him down but Zabuza dodged.

Hinata abandoned the Gentle Fist and started just fighting with the sword and her fist. Hinata jumped and tried to swing to Zabuza but he dodged at the last second, making Hinata cutting up the concrete where he was.

Zabuza got behind her and tried to attack her but Hinata pulled the sword out of the ground and used the sword as a shield again and gave Zabuza and uppercut. Zabuza flew back and was about to get up again but felt something. The Hyuga's Gentle Fist effect stared to fade on his body, he could use his chakra against.

He stood up and Hinata readied the sword she had stolen from Zabuza. Zabuza just stood there, he looked... calmer.

Zabuza did a few hand signs. "Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu."

Water formed behind him and came to Hinata. Hinata tried to send chakra to her feet to keep her there but the vortex was too strong and she was pushed against the railing of the bridge. The force knocked the sword out of her and the air in her lungs. When the vortex dissappeared, Hinata coughed up water.

Zabuza then grabbed his sword and stood in front of her. He lifted his foot up and kicked her head into the concrete railing. He then kicked her chest with a lot of force, not caring if it crushing her ribs or not. When he was done, he grabbed Hinata by her neck and lifted her in the air and threw her to the center of the bridge.

"Hinata!" Kakashi called out

"Stay with Tazuna! If you leave to help me, Zabuza will kill him!" Hinata said

Hinata looked back to Zabuza who walked towards her with his sword.

"You know, you are proving to be such a wild card. The way you used my sword against me with such skill." Zabuza said

Kakashi used his Body Flicker Technique to get behind Zabuza and put him in a chock hold but he easily threw him back.

"My attention it to the Hyuga girl, not you." Zabuza said

Hinata tried to back away but Zabuza grabbed her by her neck and lifted her into the air.

"Once I kill your sensei, I'll take his Sharingan and implant it into my eyes. But I think now I'll take your Byakugan too. With the Sharingan and Byakugan combined, I'll be unstoppable. And someone will pay a lot of money even for one Byakugan." Zabuza said

Zabuza grabbed a kunai and stabbed it into Hinata, thankfully not in the vitals. Hinata tried to surrpress her screams. "I don't need you alive to remove the Byakugan but I can make it hurt for my amusement."

He twist the kunai and Hinata let out a scream of pain.

The ice mirror dome where Sasuke amd Naruto where held in shattered. Revealing an unconscious and hurt Sasuke and Naruto, glowing in red charkra.
