"Today is Team 7's first mission." Kakashi said
"Are we gonna save a princess?! Defeat some bandit?" Naruto asked in a excited tone
"Escorting a high noble?" Hinata asked excitedly in the same tone
"We're going to... find the Fire Lord's wife's cat." Kakashi said
"Heh?" Hinata said, confused
"Seriously? Our first mission is to find a cat?" Naruto questioned
"Hey don't look at me. Most Genin missions are like this." Kakashi said
"Let's just get this over with." Sasuke said

Naruto and Hinata walked through the forest, trying to find the missing cat. Kakashi thought it would work faster of they split up.
Hinata had a few questions on her mind regarding Naruto as she walked with them. Naruto could sense her curiosity and asked her before she could.
"What's on your mind Hinata?"
"Well umm... it's about the... Kyuubi sealed in you." Hinata quietly asked
Naruto grew silent. He almost forgotten that she knew that Kurama was sealed inside of him. She didn't treat him any different after the Mizuki incident, he thought she had forgotten about that.
"What... do you to know?" Naruto said
"What's he like? All the stories centered around him are not exactly the most... informative."
"Well... he's surprisingly nice for a massive being of chakra. He's not a demon like people said, just a massive being of solidified chakra. Their called Tailed-Beast." Naruto explained
"There's more of them?" Hinata asked, fascinated
"Yeah. Kurama's the Nine-Tailed Beast, he's apparently the most powerful one of his siblings. When Tailed-Beast or Bjiu are sealed into people, they become Jinchuriki like me." Naruto said
"Kurama? That's his name?"
"Yeah, I was suprised too." Naruto agreed with Hinata
"That's a nice name." Hinata said
'I like this one.' Kurama mentally spoke to Naruto

Some time had passed and Naruto and Hinata were trying to make the time go by with chatting with each other. Then a twig snapped and a bush rustled.
Naruto and Hinata looked at each other then nodded, carefully and silently moving towards the bush. The bush rustled again and a brown cat with a bow on its ear leaped out. The cat leaped into Naruto's arms and made the boy tumble back, the cat purring against his chest.
"HAHAHAHA! L-looks like w-we found the cat N-Naruto-kun-pfff HAHAHA!" Hinata laughed widely at the scene
Naruto stood up with the cat in his arms, still purring. "I don't know, cat's always liked me. Possibly due to Kurama's influence..."

"Why do we keep getting these stupid missions?" Naruto complained, for the past week they have been getting nothing but D-rank missions like babysitting or gardening
“Genin usually start out with D-rank missions to develop a trust with the village. I’m sure well get a higher rank mission soon.” Hinata explained
"As much as I disagree with Naruto, I think these missions are below me as well. I don’t have time to waist on babysitting, or gardening, or catching cats.” Sasuke said
"Yeah gardening's fun but everything else is boring." Naruto said
Kakashi was about to tell them to deal with it, Hinata beat him to it. I think these are more like the foundations to what we’ll do in the future.”
The boys looked at her confused. “Babysitting is really just a minor escort and body guard mission. Catching cats? Capturing enemies. The gardening helps us learn what plants we can eat in the wild if we need to."
“What a positive way of looking at it Hinata.” Kakashi complimented.
"Wow Hinata, you're so smart!" Naruto said
"Well someone has to be the brains in this group." Hinata said smugly
"What!?" Naruto blushed in embarrassment while Sasuke laughed

“Let’s see what we have for your next mission.” The Hokage unrolled a scroll and listed a bunch of D-rank missions
"Jiji, can we get a better mission please? At least a C-rank?" Naruto used his puppy-dog eyes
"Naruto, missions have ranks for a reason." Iruka said
“I know, their to build our trust with the village but it’s not like it’s actually done anything! People still don’t like me, but they'll have to if I do something great!” Naruto said
“Sasuke, Hinata, what are your feelings on the matter?” The Hokage asked the rest of the trio
“I’m with Naruto, we’ve been doing these missions for weeks, I want something more advanced to test my skills.” Sasuke said
“While I understand the reason behind the rank system, but even I admit I grow bored with these D-rank missions.” Hinata added
"You're team seems in an agreement Kakashi. Do you think their ready?" Hiruzen said to Kakashi
“I think it will be a good learning exercise.” Kakashi agreed with his team
"Alright, I'll give you a C-rank mission." Hiruzen got out a paper explaining the mission
"You'll be escorting and protecting someone on a mission." Hiruzen explained the mission
"Who!? Are we guarding a princess?!" Naruto said
"An actresses?" Hinata asked with stars in her eyes
"A noble?" Sasuke pitched in
"I'll bring him in. Send him in."
A drunk Tazuna came in. He looked at the group annoyingly.
"What the- A buncha brats? The blonde one with the stupid grin, you really expect me to believe your a ninja?"
"I'll demolish you! Let me get my hands on him, I'll destroy him!" Naruto tried to get the client but Kakashi held him back
"You can't demolish the client Naruto." Hinata said
"And the shortie looks small and delicate, you sure she's a ninja?" Tazuna asked towards Hinata
Hinata froze for a moment before she tried to lunge at him as well, only to be held back by Sasuke. "I'll murder you! Say what you want about me but mock my height and you're a dead man! Just wait until I use my Gentle Fist on you and we'll see who's really the short one!"
Kakashi and Sasuke looked at each other and thought the same thing.
This is going to be a long mission.
Kurama laughed in Naruto's head. 'I really like this one.'
