Chapter 15

"I can't belive I'm stuck with you brats." Tazuna said

"Their not so bad, they'll eventually grow on you." Kakashi persuaded

"Wow, my first time out of the village." Naruto said

"Is this really your first time out here?" Hinata asked

"Yep! So exciting! And it'll be more exciting with friends!" Naruto exclaimed

"You consider us friends?" Hinata asked

"Alright, let's get a movin'." Tazuna said impatiently

The group started walking and continued for a while, a puddle appeared on the sode of the trail which Kakashi stared at.

'I don't like this kit.' Kurama said to Naruto

'Neither do I, I can sense them too.'

'I can sense 2 bodies in the puddle.'

'How can you sense them? Are you a sensor like me?' Naruto looked around while trying to look calm, not to scare his teammates

'I'm a being of chakra, I can sense chakra to some extent like a sensor-type.'

Kurama wasn't the only one who noticed the puddle, Kakashi gripped his kunai.

The puddle bubbled and two men came out, one threw the other at Kakashi with their spiked connected chain. Naruto ran at blazing speed and grabbed the chain before it could wrap itself on Kakashi.

Naruto kept a firm grip on the chain but the spikes kept digging into his palms. "Sasuke!" He threw the chain up

Sasuke grabbed a shuriken and a kunai from his pouch. He threw the shuriken first, aiming at fhe center of the chain and nailing it against the trunk of a tree. He then ghrew the kunai to keep the shuriken in it's place, like a nail in a coffin.

Then the chains disconnected from their gauntlets and the men rush towards Tazuna. Hinata stood in front of him to protect him but they raised their gauntlets to attack her. Naruto rushed in front of Hinata to protect her and they slashed his hand.

"Ahh!" Naruto yelled out in pain

"Naruto!" Hinata yelled out

The men were about to strike again but Kakashi grabbed both of them and put them in a choke hold, knocking them out.

'They saved me after all...'

"We need to talk. Mr. Tazuna."

"They are Chunin from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Their specialty is relentless attack. They keep fighting, no matter the sacrifice." Kakashi said

"How did you know about our ambush?" One of them asked Naruto and Kakashi

"A puddle on a clear day, when it hasn't rained in weeks? But what I'm curious is about how you knew they were coming Naruto?" Kakashi asked Naruto

"I just sensed chakra in the puddle." Naruto lied to protect Kurama

"Their target wasn't me or the Genin, it was you Tazuna." Kakashi said

"H-How could you tell?"

"If they were ninja after ninja, they would take out the Genin to spread out numbers. Then take me out, the most experienced one, then that would just leave you, the most defenseless of us all. But they didn't. Care to explain?" Kakashi said

Tazuna didn't answer, he only looked to the ground in shame.

"Because of you, one of my students was poisoned and could possibly die." Kakashi said

"Poisoned?!" Naruto yelled

"They had poison on their claws. Don't move around Naruto, it'll only spread he poison faster." Kakashi said

"We need to get the poison out of you!" Hinata took Naruto's hand, which had the poisoned cut

"What do we do?"

"Just stay still, this will hurt." Hinata instructed as she got out a kunai

She stabbed the cut and blood flowed out, releasing the poison.

"That should get the poison out but we need to bandage the would so it won't be infected." Hinata said as she bandaged his hand

"Wow, it feels better already. Thanks Doctor Hinata!"

Kakashi watched from the distance, observing Naruto's wounded hand. Which was already healing.

'Is this a result from having the Kyuubi sealed in him? Or is it his Uzumaki genes? Or perhaps both?'
