All In The Eyes

Chapter 9

Hinata woke up the next morning. Her body was sore from the training she had to do last night for being so late.

It felt so warm under the covers, it wouldn't hurt to sleep in for a few more minutes right? Hinata turned her body the other way and opened her eyes and saw her alarm clock. She was late for her team met up.

"I'm late!" Hinata yelled

Hinata threw off the covers and put on the outfit Ino had gotten her yesterday. She didn't have time to brush her hair and eat so Hinata ran out to the door to the training grounds.

"I expected Kakashi-sensei to be late but where is Hinata? Don't tell me sensei's tardiness is already starting to rub off on Hinata." Naruto complained

Sasuke silently agreed with Naruto. He liked Hinata more compared to Naruto, she was nice and quiet while Naruto was loud and obnoxious. She even gave him her bento boxes when she didn't see he didn't have any the first few when his family died until he was given money to shop for himself.

"Sensei said to meet here at 5 am, right?" Naruto checked his watch

"Yes dobe." Sasuke confirmed, to which Naruto yawned

Sasuke turned toward Naruto, noticing the bags under his eyes. "Why do you look so tired dobe?"

"I stayed up all night making seals for today and trying to make new ones." Naruto opened his bag to reveal different seals

"You study fuinjutsu?" Sasuke said curiously, without his usual cold tone

"Yeah, since I was a kid." Naruto yawned again

"I can show you some of my seals if you want." Naruto offered

"Sure." Sasuke took Naruto up on his offer

Naruto sat next to Sasuke and pulled different seals from his bag. One had the kanji for transfer. "You need two of the same seals for this one. One is placed on the target and the other acts like a marker for where you wanna transfer them to." Naruto explained the seal

"How can you read this? It looks like gibberish to me." Sasuke askd Naruto

"Oh, I've always good at reading seals. I don't k ow how to explain it.... it's like breathing to me." Naruto tried to explain

Naruto is able to read fuinjutsu, one of the worlds most complicated jutsu, like it's nothing to him. Sasuke though in amazement

"That's amazing..." Sasuke said, his mouth moved on its own

Naruto looked at his, suprised and with a little pink on his cheeks. Naruto turned away and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "W-Well I-I've got a book about fuinjutsu if you want to read it." Naruto offered nervously

Sasuke and Naruto spent the next hour and a half reading about Fuinjutsu. Sasuke would randomly ask questions and Naruto would answer him as best as he could. Sasuke was so wrapped up into the book, he almost didn't notice the sudden weight on his shoulder.

Sasuke turned his head to see Naruto, who had fallen asleep on his shoulder. Before Sasuke could get mad, Naruto looked actually kind of peaceful... and kinda cute...

Sasuke blushed at the sudden thought. Naruto mumbled in his sleep and Sasuke suddenly went still as to not wake him. Naruto then fell back on the ground, still asleep and turned his body into a more comfortable position.

Sasuke let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and tried to get up but something kept him down. Sasuke looked down and saw Naruto had his arm around his waist.

Sasuke decided not to wake him or move. After all, it was illegal to wake a cute blonde cuddling against you.
