All In The Eyes

Chapter 6

Naruto woke up to the warm sunshine shining on his face. He sat up and stretched, he visited Kurama again when he was sleeping. He was surprisingly nice for a massive being of chakra.

Naruto looked into his fridge to see what he could eat. To his disappointment, the only thing that was digestible was the carton of milk. Naruto took it out of the fridge and sat down at the table and poured a glass. He took a sip and immediately spit it back out when he tasted the milk. Naruto grabbed the carton and read the expiration date, which it was well past.

'I don't get my allowance until the end of the week and I can't buy anything to eat until then.' Naruto thought as his stomach growled

Naruto put on his orange jumpsuit and was about to put on his goggles when he saw his new ninja headband. He was finally a ninja...

Naruto's hunger was replaced with excitement. He was finally a ninja! He was one step closer to becoming Hokage!

Naruto sped off to the Academy in blazing speed. His hunger forgotten until later.

Hinata looked in the mirror as she tied her ninja headband around her neck. She kissed Hanabi goodbye on her forehead and left for the academy.

Sasuke Uchiha walked out of the Uchiha compound and walked past the Hyuga compound as Hinata walked out.

"Oh h-hello Sasuke-kun." Hinata greeted

Sasuke only nodded. Hinata was the only decent girl in his eyes. She was quiet, not a fan girl, belonged to a noble clan like him, and even had a dojutsu. Hinata was always quiet and shy but she was always kind to him. They often walked to the academy together since the Uchiha and Hyuga compounds were close to each other. She was the closest thing Sasuke would call a friend.

The two walked in silence as they walked to he academy.

Naruto happily laid down on his desk, his smile was pronounced widely.

"Hey" Shikamaru walked by him, remembering that Naruto failed the graduation exam. "What are you doing here Naruto? This class isn't for dropouts." He asked

"Are you blind? See this headband? I'm a full-fledged ninja now, believe it!" Naruto pointed to his headband

Shikamaru looked at Naruto and his headband before sitting down in his seat. The classroom door was flung open, revealing Sakura and Ino.

"I win again!" Sakura exclaimed victoriously

"In your dreams babe." Ino said to her girlfriend

"Give it up. My foot was a least a tenth of an inch more through the door than yours." Sakura said

"Have you always been this delusional?" Ino playfully teased

"Alright class in your seats." Iruka said

The kids who were still standing went to the rest of the empty seats, most of them sat next to their friends. One fan girl decided to sit next to her Sasuke-kun.

"Sasuke-kun, do you mind if I sit next to you?" The girl asked Sasuke, completely ignoring that Naruto was sitting next to him

Sasuke looked at her, uninterested, and turned his head back to its original place.

"But I'm sitting here." Naruto said

"Go away Naruto! Can't you see I'm talking to Sasuke-kun?" The girl smacked Naruto on the floor

Unbeknownst to everyone in the classroom, The Sandaime and the jonin sensei's were watching their future students. The crystal ball focused on Sasuke Uchiha.

"Most promising student, Sasuke Uchiha." A male Jonin said

"Yes that's him." The Sandaime confirmed

"He's the remaining surviver of the Uchiha Clan." A female Jonin said

"Yes he is." The Sandaime said

A certain silver haired Jonin was focused on a the blonde boy who was on the floor.

'Naruto Uzumaki, hm?'

Naruto got annoyed with the group of girls who were arguing to sit next to Sasuke. (minus Hinata, Sakura, and Ino)

His ears hurt from their high pitched voices. He put his hands on his ears to try and block out the noise. Then Naruto directed his annoyance and frustration at Sasuke, jumping on his desk and glaring at him.

'It's always "Sasuke, Sasuke!", what do they even see in him?' Naruto thought

One got up from his seat and pushed him forward, right onto Sasuke's lips. The whole class went quiet as they saw the scene before them.

"Oh Kami, they kissed!" A male Jonin exclaimed

"Oh my..." A female Jonin trailed off

"50 ryo if one of them punches the other."

"No way, 100 ryo if they blush like crazy."

"As usual, Naruto is in the middle of trouble." The Sandaime sighed

Naruto and Sasuke pulled away from each other, both with blushes on their face. Sasuke tried to hide his face by turning to the window but Ino saw bits of blushing in the reflection.

"Oh, what an interesting development~." The gossip and shipping queen said to herself

"Oh my..." Hinata blushed at the scene

Class resumed then the teams were called out. Naruto zoned out until he hear his name.

"Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga,..."

"Yay! We're on the same team Hinata!" Naruto turned towards Hinata

"Yeah we are. I'm glad." Hinata said

"And Sasuke Uchiha." Iruka finished off

Naruto visibly deflated and Hinata was indifferent. Iruka then announced the next team.

"Team 8: Sakura Haruno, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame."

"Ehh could be worse." Sakura shrugged, leaning back in her chair with her hands behind her head

"Team 9: Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akamichi."

Sakura fell out of her chair in suprise. "I change my mind, this is worse!"

"Babe!" Ino called out to her girlfriend

"We're not on the same team!" Sakura said

"Maybe this is a sign our relationship is not meant to be..." Ino said dramatically, putting the back of her hand to her forehead

"Can you both quit being such drama queen's? I'm trying to nap here." Shikamaru said, annoyed

"Hey, I'm also the gossip queen and the shipping queen!" Ino said, looking proud of her felt proclaimed titles

"Ughh..." Shikamaru faceplanted on his desk

'How troublesome...' He thought annoyed.
