The world wide tour had finished and Max was tried he was looking forward to come home that is before a phone call

Max's POV

My phone was ringing I looked at the caller id to see Jay was calling me I answered it "why hello Jay" "Max no one could get ahold of you" "what do you want Jay I have along trip ahead of me" "Max Antonio was shot" "I'm on my way" with that I ended the phone call and rang dad "hey son" "how's Antonio" "he's in surgery" "what hospital" "Chicago med" "ok I'll be there soon" "what about the tour" "I was on my way home because the tour has finished" "see you soon" "I love you dad" "love you too son" with that I hanged up the phone and drove with my foot down

At the hospital

I run in to the waiting room to find the team all in there waiting for Antonio "how is he" no one answered my question I took a seat next to Jay he leaned over to talk to me "how was the tour" I looked at him "I sent you tickets to come and see but you didn't show" he looks down I stood up and went for a walk outside the cool air hitting me while I was walking down the street remembering the last few shows I had done where I sang a song for Antonio or when he came and saw the shows and stayed on the road with me for a bit. I started to walk back to the hospital I took a seat outside and light a smoke taking in the smoke letting it fill my lungs "you shouldn't be smoking Max" I looked at Jay "well I don't have to sing for a while and besides the business has enough songs to make 15 playlists, record's or whatever they want but the two songs they won't get are two that I play live and live only" he took the smoke out of my mouth and started smoking it "so Max you and Antonio" I look at Jay and shake my head "I care about him probably to much he has kids and a divorced wife on his hands" Jay put out the smoke "then way didn't we work out" I laughed at his question "because it was always me and Erin you love Erin no matter what you love Erin you keep going back to her" I get up "face it Jay you love Erin to much that you just let her walk all over you and use you, you are so blind to it" I walk back to the waiting room but as so as I got in there the doctor told us we could go and see him I stood in the back so the group could chat when the group started to leave I walked up to the bed and sat down in the chair next to him "hey Tony what you been up to" he let out a small laugh "besides getting shot and getting used to a quiet house not much what about you" I moved a little in the chair "besides finishing a tour of the world and coming back to see you all shot up not much" he had a smile on his face "I'll let you get some rest Tony I'll be seeing you around" I give him a kiss on the forehead and walked out of the room to see Trudy with the kids and that bitch of and ex wife I left with out saying a word

2 weeks later

I walked in to the district to see it was definitely a mad house "do you need help Trudy" she looked up at my face "Max please" "where do you need me" I got to work start away working on some paperwork that was a mess when some guy came up to me and pointed a gun at my head "and what seems to be the problem Sir" I answered in a nice calm voice "my daughter went missing two weeks ago and no body has done a damn thing about it" I look at the guy straight in his eyes "you have my word Sir that I'll get the best on to it and if you put that gun away and help with anything that could be helpful it will go a long way" he put the gun away "Trudy could you take this man up stairs and get the team onto this job" they both left up stairs when I hear laughing and I looked to see Erin pointing and laughing at me so I give her a smile and pulled out a shotgun that was beside me and she ran upstairs probably to tell my father then I got but to my paperwork "morning sergeant where do you need us" I looked up to see Kim and Sean "I oh my god is that Sean roman standing in front of me" I basically run around the desk to give him a big hug which he return "how do you two know each other" I look over at Kim "well that's none of your business but a little Birdy told me that you didn't my it into intelligence because you have been and still are sleeping around with one Adam rusinek" her face group I walked around back behind the desk and gave them their car keys and a list of jobs I had lined up for that car "sergeant that well take forever" I looked at Kim "better get to work then shouldn't you bye Sean have a great day" with that they walked out and Trudy took a seat next to me "what's wrong with Kim" I looked at her "the reason that she didn't make it into intelligence is because she has been sleeping with and still is with Adam rusinek" Trudy's mouth dropped "I tell you I get all the news first hand" then I get back to work

End of the day

Everyone was heading out one by one they all left I walked upstairs to see dad and Antonio drinking in his office I grabbed a glass and poured me some. I was sitting there chatting way with the two men when Antonio had to leave "so son you and Erin are still not on good terms because what you pulled to I'm guessing" I take a sip "don't push your luck or I might just have to stop talking to you again" he looks upset "Justin told me what she did to you" at the mention of Justin's name I had tears in my eyes "Justin would steal your car to take me to the hospital. Justin was someone I looked up to when you left me because Erin needed you more" he looked upset even more "why didn't you come and talk to me" I look at the photo of me, Justin and Alvin on his desk "you didn't like me playing music so Justin would take me to uncle Alvin's house and I play songs for Al all the time they got me my first gig playing in Mike's bar" I took a sip of my drink "why did you stop playing music" I grabbed the photo of dad's desk "this family when Justin went away I stayed sure I missed playing music but just being closer to my brother was all I cared about or being with uncle Al" I put the photo on dad's desk "what happened between you and Sean roman son" I laughed a big "I meet Sean at a pub one night and we hit it off from there he wanted to be a police officer and that I helped him with the tests and everything seems I had passed way earlier than people should have and I am the youngest person to become a police officer" I get up and start to leave "did you ever think about someone special to you son" I looked back to him "I had a lot of special people in my life dad but only one stayed the rest just leave and the one special person in my life died his name was Justin voight I loved my brother more than anything in the world
