Max's POV

"Good morning beautiful Chicago I'm your host Caleb and today we have a very special guest. He is a famous singer he has done a world tour, he is a ranger please help me welcome Max voight" I walked on to the stage to the blinding lights shine straight into my eyes. I take a seat on the couch "so Max you have been shot multiple times but here you are what does it feel like to skip death" "honestly I did die when I got shot, I was die for a few minutes" I take a sip of the coffee in front of me "so you work with the Chicago police department and fire department" "I do and I have done tours that all the money goes to the cpd and to the CFD" "now I know you have just released a album called lonely what's it all about" I look at Caleb "it hasn't come out just yet it is coming soon and the reason for calling it lonely is because we all get lonely at some points in are life and this is a message to family you guys you guys are apart of my fucking family so I released a song in there called family is family. The song it has a strong meaning to it because my brother was in jail for some years and I have had a kidney transplant after I got stabbed" "well you sang some songs at your world wide tour that wasn't on any of your albums what's going on there" I had to have a drink "I honestly couldn't tell you that I had planned for some songs that have been in the works to come out that night" "well could you do some singing for us if you don't mind" I got up and walked over to the mic stand and got ready to sing

They're there for your first year, they give you your first beer
When you get your heart broke, they're there for your worst year
Don't get you at all, but your apple don't fall too far from 'em
They own too much wicker and drink too much liquor
You'd wash your hands of them, but blood's always thicker
You might look just like 'em, that don't mean you're like 'em
But you love 'em
Family is family, in church or in prison
You get what you get, and you don't get to pick 'em
They might smoke like chimneys, but give you their kidneys
Yeah, friends come in handy, but family is family
They're there when you're married, divorced, and remarried
You fall out of touch, but then someone gets buried
And you're right back together like no time has ever gone by
Can't live with or without 'em, you might talk about 'em
But if someone else does, well, then you'll knock 'em out 'cause
When it's all said and done, they're the only ones that you got
Family is family, in church or in prison
You get what you get, and you don't get to pick 'em
They might smoke like chimneys, but give you their kidneys
Yeah, friends come in handy, but family is family
Yeah, family is funny, they'll ask you for money
Even though they know you ain't got no money
They show up at Christmas, get up in your business
They might not be fancy, but family is family
You might look just like 'em, that don't mean you're like 'em
But you love 'em

I was out of breath so I walked back to the couch and had a seat "well that was amazing Max but tell us why that wasn't on another album until now" "I just didn't want it on an album because I didn't know how well it would go but to have thousands of people in one place singing it to you, you just need to take a second and to me, I still have to think about it every time saying is this my life omg how did this all happened" "what song would be your favorite that is on this new album of yours" "I would have to say it's going through hell because we all have had day's at work or just in general had a day that feels like hell" "could he get a sneak peek at it" I look to see the crowd asking for and I had to think about it

Well you know those times when you feel like
There's a sign there on your back
That says I don't mind if you kick me, seems like everybody has
Things go from bad to worse
You think it can't get worse than that
And then they do

You step off the straight and narrow
And you don't know where you are
Used the needle of your compass, to sew up your broken heart
Ask directions from a genie in a bottle of jim beam
And she lies to you
That's when you learn the truth

If you're goin' through hell keep on going
Don't slow down if you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

I've been deep down in that darkness
I've been down to my last match
Felt a hundred different demons breathin' fire down my back
And I knew that if I stumbled I'd fall right into the trap
That they were layin'

But the good news is there's angels everywhere out on the street
Holdin' out a hand to pull you back up on your feet
The one's that you've been draggin' for so long
You're on your knees might as well be prayin'
Guess what I'm sayin'

If you're goin' through hell keep on going
Don't slow down if you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah if you're goin' through hell keep on movin'
Face that fire walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

If you're goin' through hell keep on going
Don't slow down if you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
Yeah if you're goin' through hell keep on movin'
Face that fire walk right through it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there

"Thank y'all for this show today go buy tickets to the live album release I have been your host Caleb and this is wake up Chicago"

A few hours later

"I hate doing TV interviews they all was ask you to sing in front of people and to make it worse you can't say no" I put my head on Jay's shoulder "I know I know I hate that you're upset I wish I could make this all go away for you" I had tries running down my face "I need to go and you need to get some work done" "come on Max don't leave" I didn't pay attention to what he was saying I just left I hate this feeling like I can trust Jay but he could hurt me again. I drove home and poured me a drink to forget about this morning, I had drank five bottles of 1800 tequila before there was a knock at the door. I slowly got up and mad my way to the door and open it to see some kid standing there "can I help you" the boy was every nervous  "I don't know if you remember me but I'm Justin. My mum was your nurse and you played for me" I opened the door a bit more "that's right how is your mum" that's when he broke down and started to cry. He ran up to me and hugged me I knew something bad had happened "she she she she's gone she left me a note saying that she doesn't want me and left another note saying your address" I pulled the kid tight to my chest "your alright you're safe here" I let him in.
