Max's POV

It was a brand new day in the hospital I had been moved to a new room in the hospital. I had reports came see me and had been playing for the people in the hospital. I had gotten bad news a couple days ago, I was told I couldn't be a detective or a police officer anymore but I could be a desk sergeant. I was heart broken to hear that my life could be thrown out of the window just like that.

I had been sitting in my room upset all morning because the one person I wanted to see hasn't came and seen me at all since one morning. I've called, texted him that many times I had just given up on him calling back. Will has been coming to see me to do his job I was just zoned out I couldn't listen to a word be would be saying "earth to Max earth to Max I said you can leave soon" I looked out the window "no luck again" I just looked out of the window "I'll see you later Max" I didn't look at him nor spoke.

Matt's pov

I had been thinking about Max this morning hoping he is out of that state of mind. We had a rough call two kids didn't make it and some people were calling me old and slow. I had just sat down in my office doing the paperwork for chief Boden. Everyone has been talking about what people had said about me and I was getting pissed off about it "hey enough let them thing what they want don't be bringing it to the firehouse ok" I looked around the common room to see everyone shut up "get up and go get the gear ready for ladder drills" there were come on, do we have to, oh. I just really don't care if they are going to talk about it after I told them once then they can do drills.

Jay's POV

My phone has been blowing up with text's and calls from Max. After what I had said to him I don't feel like I can be around him and from what Hank has told us he is in depression and that the doctors are worried about him. I do feel bad because this is my fault, if I had just gotten out of my fucking head and went and saw him maybe he would be happy to see me. "Hey I just going out for a bit" Antonio got up and was about to leave when Hank stopped him and asked where he was going "I'm going to pick up Max he is getting released from hospital today" Hank nodded his head and left. I was so happy to hear that Max was getting released from hospital today maybe that will help him get better I hope.

Max's POV

I was happy to get out even if I didn't look like it. I had packed my bags and got ready for someone to come pick me up. I had played the guessing game going who would want to pick me up. I had made it to the front desk before a fire truck pulled up outside of the hospital, Matt had jumped out of the truck and came my way "I didn't expect truck 81 to come pick me up" "oh please they were more happy to pick you up then to do ladder drills" I started to walk with Matt out of the hospital when Antonio pulled up "sorry to mess you around Max but something is wrong with Jay after I left to pick you up I was called back because Jay had gone missing. So I called Matt to come pick you up but Hank thought you might now where he is" I give Matt a hug "remember what I told you about Carver" he nodded so I jumped In Antonio's car and we took off to were I told him to go.

Jay's POV

I was sitting on a bench by the water it is cold outside still but that means not that many people around me "you know sitting out here is a dumb idea and I should know I'm filled with them" I look to see Max standing there "you know I was never played with you I went to dad's because you and Will were making me go to hospital" I sat there listening to Max talk "I was hurt that you didn't come back and see me I was so alone in that place" I looked at Max to see that he is crying "but most importantly my heart broke not seeing you I was so scared that in was going to lose you that night and then Will said it to me a couple of days later" "I'm sorry Max" I was stopped "no need to be sorry and besides I can't go back to the district well I can but I can't" "what's going on" "I can't be a detective or police officer anymore but I can be a desk sergeant so when you are ready please go back to the district I'll be there cleaning up my stuff and going down stairs or I might go get a job working at a night club." I watch Max get up and start to leave "wait up I'm coming" I had caught up to him seems he can't run at the moment. I had put my arm over his shoulders "so if I get put in the hospital would you come visit me" Max looked at me "if you end up in hospital I wouldn't be leaving unless it's to get who ever did it to you" I love being with Max everything is calm with him and I know as much as I fuck up he'll be there ready to help me get right back up on my feet once again.
