Wednesday's POV:

Looking in the mirror my hands glided skillfully around the bathroom counter, grabbing what I needed as I prepared for bed.

Y/n joined me as I finished brushing my teeth, once finished I walked back into our room and changed into a set of black pajamas. Sitting on my bed, legs crossed and hands folded, trying to read one of my many books I was left with my thoughts as Y/n readied for bed. I couldn't focus on what I read, the words flying over my head as a raw feeling bubbled in my chest.

"Wednesday?" Her voice snapped me back into reality, and my eyes relaxed as the feeling settled in my chest. "Yes, Cara Mia?" I gently closed my book and set it back in my bag, no longer having the will to try and read it.

"Are you okay? You seem so...out of it." Her eyes looked me over a few times, filled with worry and question as they settled on my own. "I am alright, just lost in thought."

Nodding she sat beside me, leaning into my side and resting her head on my shoulder. Wrapping my arms around her waist, we sat there until I felt her breathing even out, signifying she had fallen asleep. Hours later I slowly detached her from my side, moving her to lay on the far side of my bed, placing a chaste kiss on her forehead.

"Sleep well Cara Mia, and let me take care of everything," I whispered, pulling the covers over her with care, the ghost of a smile tugging at my lips when she cuddled into her pillow. Grasping my satchel I quietly drifted around the room, grabbing only the necessities. Being careful when removing the patches from her back, being sure to dispose of them properly in case she awoke while I was away.

With one final look at my love, I left the cabin, bag in my gloved hands as I stalked towards their cabin. The night was dark and muggy as clouds shrouded the camp in complete darkness, providing me with the perfect conditions.

Halting I stood under a dark and withered tree, its branches twisted and rugged from its old age. Small taps came from the branch closest to me until I felt a familiar pressure on my shoulder. "Did you drug their drinks as I asked?" I whispered, small taps sounding as he tapped my shoulder. "Good."
