a/n:decided to grace yall with an update today😊.  this one was sitting in my drafts for a while. idk. the plot feels kinda meh. lmk if u want a proper ending.

  it was a monday night and you were finishing up hour homework when you hear a rapid tapping sound. you jolt up, looking around for the source of it. it seemed to be coming from your window. you look up instantly and furrow my brows at it. what the- you shuffle towards it, socked feet sliding slightly on the wooden tiles. you go to it and i realize its none other than lisa, perched precariously on huge tree outside your window.
"eonnie what the heck is wrong with you?" you gasp, opening the window. "did you seriously climb that tree??"
lisa rolls your eyes at the dumb question.
"no princess i flew up here with my jetpack." she reaches a hand through your window and gently pushes you aside. "yah! hurry up let me in its freezing." she insists as she pushes the window wider and slips into my room.
now, why didn't she just walk through the front door? there was one reason for that. lisa likes women.
okay, that sounds weird without context, but your dad, he was highly religious and extremely homophobic.
your dad particularly liked emphasizing how gay people were disgusting and that you should never interact with any of them in case they 'infected' you.
lisa found this highly amusing , by the way.

anyways, your dad found out quite easily that lisa was a lesbian, because, well, she didn't really try to hide it either.

so, how did lisa become close to you in the first place? well, before she came out, you had been assigned her tutor.
lisa hated this idea at first because you were sort of quiet. not introverted per say, but your parents were strict. strict on social media, strict on , well, everything. and because of that, you didn't go through any of the 'phases' other children did that helped to sort of, grow them, in a sense.
you didn't get to watch youtube videos as a child, you didn't go through an art phase, you didn't have any social media apps. you didn't follow trends. so, you kind of lagged behind on everybody elses concept of humor. if that makes sense.

so, lisa just thought you were weird, in a cringefail way. but she was sort of wrong. you were like a breath of fresh air. a break from the prying eyes and judgmental looks. you weren't mean, you didn't talk shit, you weren't backhanded, and you didn't cuss either. lisa could tell you were being genuine in all your interactions. lisa thought you were sweet.
you liked her, too. she was funny in a way you didn't even know was possible. her jokes gave you bellyache and you loved her energy. your face would always hurt from smiling when you were around her.
so, you kind of just, clicked. you became inseparable. not even your overbearing father could stop lisa from seeing you.

Y/N POV
lisa shakes herself off and i rush over to give her a hug. today is a very important day after all.

"happy birthday lisa." lisa looks down, a little surprised. she grins and pats my head.
"thats more like it. thanks love."  yes, okay she calls me by these names sometimes but its not weird to me. i don't mind, its probably something that people just do nowadays.
"I made you something." Is the last thing i say before i scurry off to pull something out of my closet. I hold out two cat beanies i crocheted myself. one is white and one is black. i hold them out to lisa.
"look! matchy matchy. i made then myself. the black one is for you. the eyes on mine are a little wonky but its okay. we can wear them to school tomorrow. i know you like cats, and beanies. i combined two of your favorite things! isn't that awesome?"
you rambled. you see lisas eyes widen. yeah, she's definitely excited.
"ah. w-wow. they're really cute y/n." she blinks  at the one that you've enthusiastically thrusted into her hands.

"its not uhh really my style though."
you frown.
"but i still love it!" lisa adds quickly

you smile.
"good!"
you snatch the black cat beanie and pull it over lisas head.
