synopsis: you worked for YG as assistant to the group 'BLACKPINK'. it wasn't easy, especially with jennie.she thought when she became successful as an idol, all her troubles would dissipate. but in the swift rise to fame, the weight of expectations bears heavily upon her shoulders. your fervent wish was simply to ease her load, yet the path to solace is strewn with its own trials and sorrows.
because, even the brightest stars shine with both brilliance and vulnerability.

backstage, everybody was a mess. you'd just gotten word that jennie was being rushed backstage in the middle of a performance.
you squeezed the material of your sweatpants, desperately hoping she was okay. if you were being completely honest, jennie scared you a little. it was scary how different she was on screen and off screen.

upon the silver screen, she graced souls,
she was a beacon of kindness that enfolded all.
through the annals of time, her radiance unfurled,the gentlest spirit this vast cosmos has beheld.
but beyond the celluloid's veil, her warmth did fade, she was a masquerade of ice, an alienated soul. her mood danced and changed just as the celestial winds changed their course. this kept everybody on their toes, it was plaintive that some of the staff would avoid her.
but, yet.. your feet always found its way back to her. so much so that the rest of the staff considered you as one of jennies assets.

then you caught sight of her. the woman looked so unbelievably tired. everybody seemed to be circling her, asking nervously if she was okay, making sure she was comfortable and getting her water.
anxiety pricked your chest as you wondered what you could do for her, but you couldn't think of anything. you just stood there, twiddling your fingers. it'd always been something you did when you were nervous.

it was only later when it was announced that the concert would continue without her did you make yourself useful by getting her something more comfortable to change into.

"thanks."
she said as she stepped out of the dressing room. jennie seemed too tired to be snappy so you thought you could push your luck with her today.
you felt bad, she always seemed to be getting sick or injured these days. 

"how do you- feel?" you asked, genuine concern laces your tone. jennies eyes met yours, she seemed to be inspecting you under your gaze and you shrunk under it.
you were about to tell her nevermind when she answered.
"better."

"do you have more water?"  

"yeah! i have a bottle in my bag i think." you mutter as you rummage through your tote bag and pull out a plastic water bottle and handing it to her. proud of yourself for having something you wanted.
jennie smiled lightly as she cracked it open. she looked at you curiously as you were still rummaging through your bag. seconds later, you pull out a ziplock bag filled with snacks and candy.

you shake the candy bag happily as you hold it out for jennie to take.
"i have food if you want some. you must be hungry. oh- wait-"
you continue looking through your bag again.
jennie wouldn't have been surprised if you pulled out an instant ramen cup next.

"i swear i have a yogurt drink in here somewhere." you mutter under your breath.
you were right, seconds later you pull it out and hold both items, waiting for jennie to take them from you.

"wow."
jennie took them both from you, but now she was holding too many thinks so you take hold of her water bottle.

she glanced at you, while she looks through the ziplock bag somewhat amused.

you nod.
"they're mostly for chaeyoung but i indulge myself sometimes. nobody else knows about this."

jennie scoffed.
"keeping secrets from me already?"  she said in a tone you could only interpret as teasing.
