"So how's Carmen and her hubby?" Tiffany asked. "She's good- Tiffany I think I might have a little crush." On who?!" Tiffany said looking at me. "His name is Miguel." I said.

"Ooo guapo guapo?!Ive been working on my Spanish. " Tiffany said. "Yeah he has a kid too." I said. "Oh so you'll have a step kid then." Tiffany said. Tiffany can't have kids. she always complains about me not getting laid or whatever but I still need some time to grieve with the kind of abuse I was going through for 6 whole months.

"Okay so about this Miguellll." Tiffany said as she restocked the item. "You think he can be your date to the wedding?"Tiffany asked. "Oh wait, you might be right. The best man and maid of honor are supposed to be each other's dates right?" I asked. "I guess, ever see that in the movies?"She asked. "I don't know  I don't really watch that many movies anymore unless someone actually makes me." I said.

"Ughh we gotta get you out more girl, you seriously need it." Tiffany said. I sighed as I rolled my eyes. The door ringed so that's how I knew a new costumer came in.

I turned around and it was miguel...

"Tiff! Look." I said pointing towards the door. "It's Miguel."

"Whattt? That's him? He's so fine." Tiffany said. "I ship"

"Thanks." I said smiling. "Yn?"I heard a voice from behind me I turned around and saw Miguel.

"Oh hey." I said "I didn't know you worked here." He said. "Yeah I do, how can I help you?" I asked. "Well I'm trying to buy Maria something. Her birthday is tomorrow and her party is this Saturday if you wanna come. Carmen and Tristan and the rest of the boys will be there." He said.

"Oh sure! I would love to." I said smiling. "Uh so what do you have in mind to buy her?" I asked. "She likes dolls and stuff." He said. "But I really wanted to get her some shoes."

"Oh okay sure! Tiffany." I said. I motioned my hands for her to come over to me. She smiled. I couldn't tell if it was because she had to help Miguel or If It was because she had to help a costumer. "Yes yn?" She said.

"Miguel would like to buy his daughter some shoes for her birthday." I said.

"Oh, well Miguel I got you." She said. "Okay so what kind of style you looking for?"

"I wanted to get her the air forces." He said. "Oooo perfect choice! Okay so air forces are right over here and make sure you get her the right size." Tiffany said giving me a pat on the back.

"Thanks." Miguel said smiling.I smiled as me and Tiffany went back to the register. "Oh yeah, he's a keeper." she said. I smiled at her response.

"Find it?" I asked as Miguel walked up to the cashier. He nodded. "Thanks."

I cashed him out. "Hey you think I could have your number, you know so I could text you my address." He said. "Oh yeah." He got out his phone as I put in my phone number and put my contact name as Yn.

"Thank you so much for all your help guys." He said referring to me and Tiffany."Your welcome." We said at the same time smiling.

He walked out of the store as we both exchanged Looks. "Omg what happened?!" Tiffany asked. "Okay so basically he asked me if I Wanted to go to his daughter's birthday party and everything since Carmen, Tristan and our other friends were gonna be there." I said. "Andd?" She asked.

"I got his number!" I said. Tiffany started doing a little happy dance. "But... it's only for his address to his house." I said. "Oh come on it'll turn into something else I just know it will." Tiffany said. I nodded.

TIME SKIP
"I'm home!" I said.

My parents were sitting at the dining table waiting for me to come sit down. "Hi mi nina." My dad said. "Hola." I said.

"Okay so, how did dress shopping go with Carmen?" My mom asked. "It was okay she still hadn't found the perfect dress yet." I said as I started to dig in my plate. "so who's your date?" My dad asked as he started looking at me.

"It could be a boy named Miguel. I'm going to his daughters party Saturday." I said. "Well as long as he stays out of your panties we're good." My dad said.

I started to choke on my food.

"dad!" I said. "Marcus!" My mom said. "Well you know what these girls are doing nowadays." He said. "Dad why would it even matter? I'm a adult now, I'm 23." I said. "I understand that but you need to get married before anything." He said.

"How am I supposed to get married if you won't even let me go near a guy?" I asked. It got silent.

"Yeah exactly." I said walking away from the table. My dad is so overdramatic about everything and thinks that I'm still his little 10 year old when I'm not. I'm a grown woman now so it shouldn't matter to him about who I date.

I guess no one in this world will ever let me live on from the past...
