Today was the 4th of July so Carmen was having a party. I changed into my outfit and went downstairs. "I'm flipping out!" Carmen said as she grabbed me and maddy's arm.

"What's wrong?" Maddy asked. Carmen sighed.

"My mom is coming to the party today." She said. "So what's the problem? I love your mom!" Maddy said. I nodded in agreement.

"She's a bitch that's the problem." Carmen said. Me and Maddy both opened our mouths.

"Oh what don't act surprised you know exactly how my mom is." She said. "We really don't." I said. "She's really nice to us."

"Well ofc she's gonna be nice to you guys since your not her daughter so she doesn't count on you for everything." Carmen said as she rolled her eyes.

"Isn't she supposed to do that?" Maddy asked. "Ughhh just forget it!" She said as she walked outside to the backyard. Tristan walked downstairs. "Did I just hear it right?"He asked.

"Hear what?" I asked.

"Carmen's mother is coming?"he asked.

"Apparently." Maddy said in response. "Tris your gonna be fine." I said.

"No! The last time I even saw her mother was when I was 19." He said. "And now she found that were getting married in a month she's gonna be extra hard on me."

I patted him on his back. "Tristan, your a sweet boy and your so good to Carmen and if she can't see that then jokes on her, now where's my man?" I asked. He giggled.

"He'll be here in 10 minutes." Tristan said.

"Hey yn?" Maddy said as she whispered in my ear. "What?" I asked. "Is it just me or did banks get cuter?" She asked as she started blushing looking towards banks.

"You like him!" I said. "Shhh!" She said. "Okay okay I'm sorry." I said giggling.

"Okay to make things even worse, not only is mom coming, my sister is and her kids and my younger brother me and my sister used to be close but I mean she has kids now so I guess that's her life now and my brother is just so weird." Carmen said walking in.

"But your family is like so nice-"

"Maddy shut the hell up." Carmen said annoyed making me hold in my laugh. I always found it funny when Carmen got Angry.

The doorbell ringed as I went to go open it. It was Miguel and he was holding Maria's hand.

"Yn!" She said. "Maria!" I said as I picked her up and have her a peck on the cheek. "How you doing princess?" I asked.

"Mmmm muy bien!" She said. I giggled. "So you not gonna show your love and affection to me?" He asked. I laughed and gave Miguel a peck on the lips as I put Maria down.

"Hey Mikey" everyone said. "Maddy!" Maria said running towards Maddy.

Maddy ran into her arms and picked her up. "Omg you've grown up since the last time I saw you." She said hugging her.

The door opened revealing Jacob and Tiffany giggling. I tapped Carmen's shoulder and pointed to Tiffany and Jacob. I haven't talked to Tiffany in so long and I feel kinda bad. Ever since Miguel and I have gotten together we've kinda drifted apart and I'm not saying it's Miguel's fault it's just that we've got caught up in our own stuff.

"Hey everyone!" Jacob said. We waved. "Oh hey Madeline it's been forever girl! Hi cutie." She said greeting Maria and Maddy. "You look beautiful, good to see you." Maddy replied.
