Chapter 43

Friday 2:34 p.m.
Quackity sighed as he was finally walking back to Phil's house. 'Sap and Karl are probably worried sick..' Q thought as he did just left without telling them anything. As Q walked closer to the house he couldn't help but notice two kids a brunette and a blond walking hand in hand across the street from him. They were a bit ahead of Q on the side walk but not to far. Now Q must had to admit these kids looked too young to be left alone without supervision but Q just thought someone was watching them. Yet when Q looked around for signs of any adult watching over these kids he saw absolutely no one, so naturally Q is now worried for these two's safety.

"Hey kids, are you to okay? Is some adult with you?" Quackity called over to them hoping they weren't lost or something was wrong. The two kids turned to Quackity and that's when all three realized it was one another, Quackity realizing it was Tubbo and Tommy, and Tommy and Tubbo realizing it was Quackity or rather Tubbo's mom, Mama Q. "Mama Q!" Tubbo just said with big smile on his face as his goat tail wagged slightly. Quackity was caught off guard when Tubbo said Mama Q yet he slowly started to smile, "Y-you remember me?" Tubbo just nodded and started to walk to Q, "Yea!"

Quackity just couldn't help but start tearing up, "Oh my duckling.." he whispered as he started to walk to Tubbo to. Tommy just looked proud he had found his friend's mother and made Tubbo the happiest he has ever seen. However the moment was ruined once Q realized Tubbo was dead certain in the street. Quackity quickly ran over to Tubbo while looking both ways seeing a car coming and of course the car had a bunch of teens and no one was paying attention to the road to see the six year old there. Quackity cursed them as he just quickly scooped up Tubbo and continued to run across the street to Tommy. Unfortunately Quackity wasn't fast enough for the car so he got hit.

But luckily he was basically only clipped by it. Tubbo was perfectly fine but the car did come to a stop and the teens came out to see Quackity just on the ground with Tubbo a few feet away. Tommy ran to Tubbo to help him up before both kids quickly went to Q to see if he was okay and Tubbo had full on tears already, "Mama!" Once the two kids ran over to Q they saw him staring at the sky breathing heavily, "I-Im fine k-kids...just give me a second...yea I need a second..." Tubbo was just still crying as he held onto Quackity's hand while Tommy rubbed Tubbo's back, "Its okay Tubbo he said he is okay!" Q just nodded and took the hand Tubbo was holding and cupped Tubbo's face, "Don't cry mi niño... I am fine, just a bruise." Tubbo just smiled at Q's touch and nodded, "oki.."

Eventually one of the teens came over and stood over Q, "Oh my god, ARE YOU OKAY? I AM SO SORRY WE DIDNT SEE YOU TILL WE HIT YOU AND-" "JUST! Just call me an ambulance... I think I broke something... and calm down I am not dead so you're not going to jail" Quackity huffed interrupting the teen as the shock of almost dying was waring off slowly  and he was now starting to feel the pain. The teen just obliged and took out their phone and called the ambulance as they left Q alone to tell their friends Quackity wasn't dead. Then Quackity turned his head to Phil's house as he heard the magical shout of his name, Tubbo's and Tommy's name being called while Phil, Karl, Sapnap, and Wilbur all came running out the house over to the three.

"Oh great.." Quackity let out a sigh but winced in pain slightly which made Tubbo grip onto Q's hand again, "Mama I am sorry.." Quackity just squeezed Tubbo's hand slightly and rubbed his thumb over Tubbo's hand, "Oh duckling its not your fault" "QUACKITY! HOLY SHIT ARE YOU OKAY?" Wilbur said once he made it to Q and knelt down next to him. Quackity just did a thumbs up as he put his hand down and closed his eyes, "mmhhmm getting hit by a car is great.." Sapnap and Karl looked freaked out but looked even more worried when Q was surprisingly was so calm yet they both kept quiet not wanting to freak out Tubbo as he already looked pretty upset. Sapnap just took Quackity's free hand as well as Karl which made Q open his eyes and look at them. A small smile came across Q's face as he looked at the sky once again and closed his eyes taking a deep breath.

Saturday 10:36 a.m.
Quackity blinked awake as the sound of people talking entered his ears. Once he adjusted to the light of the room he noticed he was lying in bed of a hospital room with Tubbo just curled up next to him and holding onto him tightly. Quackity smiled and just put a hand on Tubbo's back slightly rubbing it as he looked out the door of his room to see a doctor talking to Sapnap and Karl. Q sighed but just closed his eyes and rubbed Tubbo's back, it was strangely peaceful to Q just laying there with Tubbo while Karl and Sap were talking outside. "Quackity..?" Karl whispered which made Q open his eyes and look over to the door where Karl and Sapnap stood.

Sapnap and Karl both automatically smiled seeing Q open his eyes and they walked over to him. "Hey how are you feeling?" Sapnap asked as he took Quackity's free hand. Quackity just squeezed Sap's hand and slightly shrugged but winced in the process, "Fine, but my body sorta hurts all over like sore pain." Karl and Sapnap both nodded before Karl kissed Q's cheek and run his hand through Q's hair, "That's good, well not good you feel pain but good its just sore pain. The doctor said you barely almost missed the car so you just have some bruises." Quackity just nodded and sighed, "Yea kinda figured, now I know why I feel sore pain." Sapnap frowned at this comment even though he is sure Q meant nothing much by it but Sap couldn't help but think of Q's ex.
