━━━━━━━━━━ You woke up to an empty bed and the sun shining in through your window. You strech you arms before getting dressed and brushing your teeth.

You greet Elena in the hallway as she starts to walk down the stairs as she tells you she is going to make some coffee.

You smile and walk into Jeremy's room to make your way over to his windows and pull the curtains open making the sun shine in.

"Rise and shine" you say smiling down at the boy

"Ugh, early. Bad" Jeremy groans out as he rolls over

"It's not early. You're late for work. Matt just called" you tell him

"Well, maybe they'll fire me" he says starting to sit up

"Aim high and get up" you say before walking out of the room

As you walk down the stairs your phone starts to ring and you pull it out to see it's Caroline

"What are you doing?" you ask answering the phone

"Just shopping for the party Elena is trying to bail out on" she tells you

"Well we never said yes in the first place" you say chuckling

"You were never going to, which is why I planned it anyway. And my mum wants you to call her" Caroline tells you

"Did she find something?"

"An animal attack in Memphis. It's the third one this week in Tennessee"

"Well if it's a vampire doesn't mean it's Klaus" you say making Elena and Alaric look up at you

"What did they find?" she asks walking over to you

"Third animal attack this week in Tennessee" you tell her

"I'll give Caroline's mum a call" Elena says nodding her head

"Elena is gonna call your mum. Thanks for your help, Care" you say to her grabbing a mug

"Alright, well, I've got to go. I'll see you in a bit" Caroline says and Elena grabs your phone off of you

"Caroline, wait. Just...keep tonight small. Please" Elena says into the phone
