~Chapter 15~

3rd person Pov.

With Sonde and the attack team...

Sonde gestured to the Voltaris on her left then the Voltaris to her right as Tygren walked out from behind a tree and walked over to her, standing next to her as they watched the Voltaris surround the Mendoris scouts quietly before one of the scouts looked around and saw the Voltaris to his right.

"VOLTARIS!" He yelled and the rest of the Mendoris scouts lunged for their weapons as the Voltaris charged out. Sonde jumped down as Tygren Aggroblasted a male running away as the others started dragging the Mendoris away. One Mendoris lunged at Tygren and Tygren caught him by the throat, holding the struggling Mendoris's neck in his fist. The Mendoris lashed his tail several times before Tygren hissed and snapped his neck.

"Alright take the rest back to the Slave carrier, and don't let them talk." She ordered and they all walked off, dragging the Mendoris scouts behind them.

Achillean Pov.

I walk back from asking Aurellies to send more scouts, panting gently and dropping my staff beside me on a log as I sit down along with the rest of the Knights.

"I sent out a few more scouts, hopefully these ones will have better luck..." I sigh, the other scouts came back with nothing but less hope that they were safe, they came back with Addy's horn ring, I know it was hers because it had the quote that our mother had carved into it and her name in it. I know she's in danger, most likely in Ingressus's hands by now. I hear a few dried leaves crunching and look over as Senn walks out of the woods worriedly.

"There was another ambush on Mendoris scouts that never came back last night, the Voltaris took them, but we saw the tracks of the blood slave carrier and think we might know where they are." He says, hope present on his face as Ria widens her eyes and the rest of the Knights of Ardonia gasp a bit. I widen my eyes as well, hope flooding through me. I can finally get my siblings back.

Addy Pov.

I flick my tail slightly as I blink awake the next morning, lifting the bird out of my hair and setting it down on my bed as I smile. I don't want to wake up right now, I curl my tail back around myself and close my eyes again before I feel the blankets get pulled off of me and look up with a confused and groggy expression. I see Ingressus standing above me, lashing his tail. 

"Get up, we need to go do something." He orders and I sit up slowly, rubbing my eyes and blinking away my grogginess. Ingressus pulls me out of the bed and puts the blankets back over it, over my bird. I look down as the bird peeks it's head out, chirping weakly. I pull out of his grip and put the bird on top of the blankets instead. I stand back up and Ingressus grabs my arm, pulling me out of the room.

"Now follow me and don't try to get away." he orders and I nod as he starts walking down the hall towards a large room on the side, we walk in. I widen my eyes at the sight of so many Mendoris standing in the room, in a line. Sonde walks towards Ingressus. 

"We caught these ones last night, we need you to sort them for the auction." She tells him and he nods then walks towards the slaves before glancing back to find me frozen in place.

"Addy come on!" He calls and I nod quickly then walk towards him quickly following behind him.

"Make this one a slave, and this one... this one food..." He says and continues this for a bit as I stare at the slaves. I see Sonde look towards the guards and say something to them with each thing he says and once she says things to them the prisoners are taken away, a few that he made food. "Keep up Addy."

I walk closer to him and look at the Mendoris.

"Make these two slaves... and this one food, and this one." He says pointing to a male and female then continuing on. "Make this one food and this one..."
