Senn Pov.
Snow. it's just outside, the gentle white flakes, pure and beautiful, just outside, falling on the window ceil... of my prison cell. I don't know what I was thinking just letting them take me, I don't know if I was in a daze that just said 'oh yeah just go with the most feared and dangerous vampire, no harm done! oh and you're only going to get your blood sucked from your body because your brother is ALSO THERE! Isn't that amazing a happy family reunion! Yay...' The cell door swings open and I whip around to face the Voltaris, two males both with very long and sharp fangs that are hidden by their lips but I'm imagining it and it's scary.
"Come on kid." One male snaps.
"Why--"
"Don't ask questions just come or there will be consequences." the other male snaps. I walk towards the door and lower my head. Ria... I miss Ria... I glance towards the rest of the castle in fear then feel the Voltaris behind me punch my shoulder. I keep walking faster and glance around, Voltaris everywhere, vampires everywhere. I have honestly never been this scared in my life. The Voltaris in front of me stops and steps aside as the one behind me does the same, I see my brother that I already met and another standing beside him. Both share my markings. The two Voltaris behind me leave as I just stare at them. They probably have long fangs to... nothing to worry about.
"We were told that our brother was killed! But here you are, at long last." The one I don't recognize addresses and smiles. "I'm Almrak, welcome brother."
"He has nothing we have, he barely has fangs, he hasn't suffered he isn't a real Voltaris!" The one that greeted me before snaps. He seemed so nice when he was reaching out towards me when I met him...
"Delthalus, he's still our brother, he deserves to know whatever he wants." Almrak tells him and the Voltaris rolls his eyes.
"Alright you want to know something, Ingressus is feeling extra hungry today and could probably use a meal other than his wife so good luck when you go up to his chambers." Delthalus snaps and grins, Almrak elbows him harshly as I feel my skin go pale.
"He's just joking, Senn, feel free to ask whatever you want." Almrak offers and sits down next to me. I look towards him as he gives me an assuring smile.
"What happened to our parents...?"
"Our mother was Voltaris and our father Sendaris, their relationship was dangerous and forbidden even amongst the Voltaris, after our mother had us the Voltaris came for our family, and killed our parents, we assumed that you were killed after they didn't find you but they must have managed to send you away first!" Almrak says and watches me.
"Are you two vampires?" I ask meekly, surprised at the quietness in my voice. Delthalus barks a laugh, revealing his fangs, longer than mine and much sharper, mine are dull and flatter much like those of the normal Ardoni clans, it feels a bit wrong calling the other clans 'normal' though.
"Of course, we are brother, almost all the way, we drink blood, and we kill for it." He says and grins. Almrak gives him a disappointed gaze which he ignores and instead walks closer to me.
"And we have fresh prey right here." He purrs and reaches towards me before a hand slaps his.
"Leave him alone Delthalus! Just because he wasn't raised like us doesn't mean you have to treat him like the other clans!" Almrak argues.
"The other clans are horrible and off living perfect lives while we struggle to survive and eat whatever we can find!"
"And our Master is MARRIED to a other clan!" Almrak yells, I see Delthalus freeze for a moment as he contemplates what Almrak just said.
"Well she's different." He says and Almrak shakes his head.
"She is and she is a great person, we can't judge someone just by how they were raised Del." He sighs then looks up towards the tower and looks back towards me.
"Ingressus wants to see you brother."
"Wait, i have one more question!" I interject quickly and see them both look towards me.
"Since I'm half Voltaris would my blood still be appetizing?" I ask nervously, I'm afraid now that Delthalus said Ingressus could use another meal because he was clearly referring to me. They exchange a glance then look back towards me.
"We would have to taste it to know for sure."Almrak admits."
"So taste my blood, I want to know if Ingressus is going to eat me." I say nervously.
"Oh he will devour you!" Delthalus laughs and Almrak elbows him again in the stomach. "he might I don't know."
"I'll be gentle." Almrak assures as he walks closer to me, I tilt my head a bit, exposing my neck to him, I feel him gently bite my neck and ponder the taste of the blood.
"I'll be honest it is good..." Almrak admits. "He would probably like it... sorry..."
"Let me try." Delthalus snarls and walks closer to me, biting my neck harshly.
"Ow!" I yelp.
"Trust me Ingressus will bite you harder." Delthalus says once he's finished earning him another elbow from Almrak. "Alright Ingressus will bite you harder if he bites you. and your blood is delicious! He would love it."
Delthalus grins as Almrak looks down then looks back towards me.
"Well you best not keep him waiting, I hope we speak again soon, it was nice speaking with you..." Almrak says and looks at me reassuringly.
I see the guards walking back towards us and look towards my brothers one last time, Delthalus smirking, Almrak assuring. I feel the guards grab me and pull me up and push me towards the tower leading me down the path, I look ahead and see the Deathsinger standing on the balcony, looking over Hailstone watchfully then I see a female Nestoris walk up beside him and hug him from behind, she smiles, and he glances back kissing her then leading her back into the room, I feel my heart pounding in my chest, everything Delthalus said made me sick, and now my only hope is that he isn't actually hungry, and that I won't be a meal for the Vampire that everyone dreads.
