Secret Fire

~Chapter 31~

Senn Pov.

I blink awake the next morning in a soft bed, pretty soft at least, I sit up and rub my eyes Almrak shifts from the bed on the other side of the room, I yawn and lay in bed for a minute, blinking a few times, I hear Delthalus growl a bit and glance over at the lantern near my bed I reach for it for a moment and reach the holder right as the door bursts open and someone jumps on me.

"Senn!" A female voice cries and I open my eyes and see golden markings knowing immediately who is hugging me.

"Addy?" I ask as she lets go of me, I catch my breath as she grins, Almrak sits up slowly and glances back at her, Delthalus sits up quickly growling then seeing her and falling back down going back to sleep.

"I just had to come and see you! Ingressus told me you where here, man's a nervous wreak now that we got the news. But he told me you were here to I ran and came to you! I missed you so much!" She cries and hugs me again tightly. I ignore the fact that I can't breathe and ponder her words.

"Wait what 'news'?" I ask and sit up as she lets go of me and grins.

"I'm pregnant!" She grins and the door bursts open and Ingressus charges in, clearly out of breath.

"Addy!" He accuses his expression worried and she glances back at him then runs towards him and jumps on his back, he grunts slightly then looks up at her blushing.

"I had to come see him! I haven't seen him in years!" She says and hugs his neck tightly.

"Months you haven't seen him in months." Ingressus grunts but hoists Addy up, holding her. "And you can't lay on your stomach or your back!"

"You're such a control freak!" Addy groans but rubs her cheek against his.

"The medic said it's dangerous for the baby and you if you lay on your stomach or back." He says worriedly.

"Oh," She says and flicks her ear, sliding off his back and running back over to me then turning towards Ingressus. "But it makes no difference I wanted to see him!"

"And I'm fine with that but I want our child to be ok." He says and puts a hand to his chest as she runs back over and jumps on him from the front, wrapping her legs around his waist and looking down at him as he holds her.

"I know and I will be more careful, but I had to see my friend." She says and nuzzles his cheek. 

"I know but it's like saying that you want to get a shaved ice out there, but you want to smash it right after you get it." he says, and she widens her eyes.

"THERE'S SHAVED ICE?!" She cries and before anyone can say anything bolts out of the door quickly, Ingressus reaches towards her trying to grab her unsuccessfully.

"Great... now our child is going to be addicted to snow cones, you know what it's fine... anyways, while I'm here, Senn have you made your decision?" He asks and raises his eyebrows watching me and gently swishing his tail.

"I'm still deciding on the vampire thing." I manage, it's a big decision to make, if I'm a vampire do I get muscles? Because in order to impress Ria I think that's a priority at this point,.

"Hm, I understand, I can initiate you now, if you want." He offers and draws Voltar but I glance back and see Addy talking to a Voltaris who's giving out snow cones.

"Shouldn't you be watching your wife?" I ask, unsure.

"She's fine, she's right I am being a bit controlling now." He says and tosses Voltar to his other hand.

"OH MY GOSH THAT'S BIGGEST SIZE?! I'LL TAKE THREE!" I hear Addy yell and see Ingressus freeze.

"You know what I probably should go get her and make sure she doesn't do anything she'll regret later. I'll be back." He says then runs out towards Addy as she stares at the Voltaris with the snow cones, Ingressus pounces on her, knocking her down and stopping her from getting all three.

"You can get one!" Ingressus yells.

"I want THREE!" Addy cries and struggles to get out from under him, he hugs her closer and traps her in place.

"No! The medic said you have to limit how much sugar you eat!" He yells.

"Say that to yourself when you drink my blood, limit how much you drink!" She screams and I see Ingressus pick her up, throwing her over his shoulder and walking back towards the tower, walking towards their tower again and coming out a minute later, Almrak walks out of our rooms and towards the snow cones as Ingressus watches me, I walk towards him as Delthalus walks towards the snow cones as well, yawning and showing his fangs. I walk up to Ingressus and see him smile the tip of his fang slipping out.

"Are you ready? It's going to hurt for a second." He says and watches me, I nod and let him drag Voltar across my arm. "Neel."

I kneel down in front of him and let him place Voltar on my head.

"You can go back to sleep now, it's going to take a while to fade in and everyone passes out after initiation so I strongly suggest you get to a bed as soon as possible." he says and smiles at me as I stand up and nod.

"Can you let Addy come see me?" I ask and watch him.

"Of course just make sure she doesn't lay on her stomach or her back, make sure she doesn't put to many blankets on, and make sure she doesn't get to anything sugary she got away with two snow cones and I took the other one from her, it's very unhealthy for the baby to injest so much sugar." He says and I nod.

"Of course." I say and nod.

"Alright, now get to bed quickly." He ushers and gently pushes me towards my room again, I look down at my markings to find them fading to pink. "They will fade to red later, the colors are just settling in."

I nod then walk towards my room again, glancing back as Ingressus sits down on a bench and watches Almrak and Deltheous.

Delthalus Pov.

"Well this is stupid." I snarl as Senn walks back into our room. "he just woke up."

"Do you ever listen to anything Ingressus says?" Almrak sighs as he bites into a bird sating his hunger. I start quickly shoving the snow cone into my mouth and see Almrak raise his eyebrows.

"Why do you hate Senn so much? Just because he wasn't raised like us?" Almrak asks his expression disapproving. That is the reason, why should we have to suffer and he lives a great life with no danger and no urge to kill whatever living creature crosses your path? I snarl then hear the snow crunch behind us freeing as I hear a voice behind me.

"Hate Senn?" A male voice questions and I turn to see Master Ingressus behind us with raised eyebrows.

"No of course not." I say and Almrak glares.

"Yes, he's been so cruel to Senn for no reason at all!" Almrak says and gestures to me as I glare, who is he to tell our Master what I do? Ingressus looks towards me with a deep frown.

"Senn would have been raised with you if your father had not taken him to Thalleous Sendaris." He sighs and shakes his head. "I fully disapprove of hating him, try to be kind to him and I think you will find that he is not what you think he is, he's just like you just not vampiric, I only gave him that offer because I noticed your rejection towards him."

"Do you think he will accept Master?" Almrak asks and tosses the dead bird away.

"It's hard to tell." Ingressus says and sheathes Voltar. "Also if Addy comes out of our tower before Senn bring her back to me, got it?"

"Yes." I grumble and start shoving the shaved ice into my mouth faster.

"Del stop you're gonna choke." Almrak says and watches me with concern as I keep shoving more into my mouth.

"I'm actually concerned at this point." Ingressus says and abruptly takes the snow cone away. I look towards him and he gives me a look. "Swallow the snow cone you have in your mouth, and I will give it back to you."

I swallow then hold my hands out and show him my mouth the prove that I finished it. He gives it back to me and watches us, he's like a father to me and Almrak at times, but he's like that with all of the kids not just us. I start eating slower and he nods then walks away again, strolling down the path back towards the tower. I start eating faster again, Senn was never raised like us, he will never have a place in my heart.
