~Chapter 16~

3rd person Pov...

With Ingressus...

Ingressus entered the room to kill the food prisoners soon after making sure Addy was asleep. He was mad at her, in fact furious at the fact that she had fought back against him. That she had argued with him and yelled at him. He walked towards one of the prisoners slowly and grabbed his neck, sinking his fangs into the Mendoris's neck. The Mendoris let out a scream of pain before his markings faded out and Ingressus dropped him down as the guards came over and dragged his body away. He continued this with the other prisoners before stopping in front of the one Addy had smiled at.

"You." He hissed and the Mendoris looked up, clearly frightened as he watched his comrades get dragged away to have their blood drained from them. It sent shivers down his spine at the thought that that could be him, would be him once the Deathsinger killed him. He looked back towards the Deathsinger and pinned his ears, holding his quivering tail tightly.

"I-I." He started and watched the Deathsinger lash his tail, accidently hitting one of the guards and knocking him over. The Deathsinger looked back at the guard then helped her up and nodded to her as she nodded back and walked away, seemingly dizzy. Before the Mendoris could think he dropped onto his knees in front of the Deathsinger, clasping his hands together and looking up at the Deathsinger, who looked down at him in slight surprise but mostly in anger.

"Please! I have a family!" He pleaded and the Deathsinger got closer to his face with a snarl.

"So did I at one point." He snarled. "Before people like you took them away from me."

He leaned towards the Mendoris' neck, opening his mouth before the Mendoris spoke again.

"Please, I got caught on purpose! My wife was caught here a few months ago and I have a daughter back home that she left behind, I just want to see my wife again!" He pleaded and started crying as the Deathsinger pulled away from his neck.

"What is your wife's name?" He demanded icily and the Mendoris shook slightly.

"Arina Mendoris, is she still alive? If she's not then I give you full permission to kill me." He said lowering his head as Ingressus pursed his lips for a minute. He didn't want to kill someone who had a family. He didn't want this male to have to suffer through what he did, being seperated from someone he loved for so long, thinking she was dead the entire time, killed... "I have no intention with your slave, I just smiled at her because she seemed scared and I wanted to assure her it was ok."

Ingressus frowned then stood back up and lashed his tail several times, grabbing his horns and pulling back angrily while growling his answer.

"UGH! I don't want to belive you but she wouldn't tell me if she was scared! And Arina Mendoris is her friend, so yes she is alive." Ingressus growled then let go of his horns and sighed. "Fine, I will make you a slave, and let you be with your wife, but if you try anything with my slave I will kill you in three seconds flat. I'm only not killing you because I don't want anyone else to loose what I lost. Even a Mendoris male who smiled at the person I love." 

"I can tell you love her, and I don't want to interfear with that love, I wish you the best with her." The Mendoris said and stood up as Ingressus looked towards the guards who were watching him, ready to take the Mendoris's body.

"I changed my mind, he's a slave now, put him with the rest and make sure he finds Arina Mendoris. Zininda's slave I think." Ingressus ordered and they all nodded, grabbing the Mendoris by the arms and dragging him away towards the slave cells. Ingressus didn't know why he spared him, he just did, he wanted Addy to be happy and wanted her to be his wife, and just the fact that the Mendoris had a wife and a daughter was enough to make him let him go, even if he did smile at Addy, it wasn't what it seemed.

Later...

Addy Pov.

I grab my tail between my legs and pull it closer to me, breathing in gently, trying to calm myself as I grab the collar, it's awfully tight since last night when he tightened it tighter because I was making to much noise whenever I got up because my limbs were numb and I couldn't control them. I start quivering and feel someone pick me up holding me close to them and start carrying me somewhere before stopping and sitting down on something soft. Pulling me on top of them with my head on their chest, then I feel something wrap around my tail comfortingly. I open my eyes a bit to see Ingressus looking down at me with a soft smile. I blink several times then curl up on him more, as if I'm still sleeping. I'm still unsure of whether I should wrap my tail around his or try to get off of him, I feel myself start drifting off and then feel him rest his hand on my back, I open my eyes a tiny bit again as he closes his and turns away, obviously trying to sleep. I yawn a bit then close my eyes as well, trying to sleep to.

Later...

The door bangs against the wall loudly and I look up quickly pinning my ears as Ingressus looks over and snarls. I see Tygren and Lucidious in the doorway, Lucidious looking sick, Tygren looking panicked.

"WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU NEED TO WAKE ME AND MY SLAVE?!" Ingressus roars and Lucidious jumps back again.

"The auction is starting, we need you to come." Tygren informs him.

"Sorry for waking you..." Lucidious peeps. "It was Tygren not me, I thought we could spare you having to come to this one..."

"It's fine Lucidious," Tygren sighs. "We'll be there in a minute."

Tygren nods and shuts the door as Lucidious starts down the hallway again. Ingressus moves me off of him and unwraps his tail from around mine and gets up, stretching and yawning.

"And before you ask, we are going to that auction with the Mendoris I sorted out yesterday, put this on." He says and tosses me a necklace, a gold necklace with a red ruby at the bottom. I look down at it with a smile before putting it on and feel him wrap his arm around my shoulders, leading me out of the room and towards a larger room, we walk in and he leads me over to a couch, sitting down on it as I flop down next to him, trying to keep a proper pose before he looks over at me and pulls me down, resting my head on his lap. I yawn slightly and look out of the bars as I hear a few voices, a female voice that sounds like... I get up and look back as Ingressus glances back as well.

"Sonde..." I whisper angrily. Ingressus pulls me closer and hugs me, pulling a blanket over us and watching the auction as it starts. Ingressus smiles and licks my neck for a minute.

"Don't worry dear, I won't hurt you to bad,"
